As stated earlier, the Critical Element skill is a weapon skill that boosts your elemental damage whenever you land a critical hit in the game. At Level 1, the increase in elemental damage is minor, but take it all the way up to Level 3, and you will notice a considerable increase in the elemental damage inflicted.

The Critical Element skill can be applied to a wide variety of weapons. These weapons include the Blinding Fulgur I bow, Elendskraft I charge blade, Düsterstolz greatsword, Tyrannenarm I gunlance, Crashing Fulgur I hammer, and many more.

Since this skill relies heavily on critical hits, it is important that you carry gear and weapons with high Affinity. Affinity in Monster Hunter Wilds refers to critical hits. The greater your Affinity, the greater your chance of landing a critical hit. You want your Affinity as close to 100 percent as possible. The more often you land a critical hit, the more you get to use the Critical Element skill and the more elemental damage you get to inflict. We also recommend taking the skill to Critical Element skill to Level 3 to synergize it with your Affinity.
