The Larian Studios developed cRPG game Baldur’s Gate 3 had a highly anticipated full release last week. Adventurers across the world have been enjoying this incredibly meaty, story and character driven game ever since. While Baldur’s Gate 3 has had it’s share of bugs and issues, which the developers have already dropped a couple of hotfixes for, so far the launch has been relatively smooth sailing with nothing terribly game breaking getting in the player’s way.
Nvidia Offers Optimzations for Baldur’s Gate 3 Players
In something of a separate follow up to those patches directly from the developers, yesterday Nvidia announced the availability of a new driver update for users of it’s graphics cards. According their release article they are “introducing additional optimizations and enhancements to further improve” performance. What exactly the details of those improvements was not included, but it appears to be based around games which support the DLSS 2 technology.
The new 536.99 driver likely fine-tunes the interaction between the game and Nvidia graphics cards, ensuring that players can enjoy the game with increased frame rates, reduced stuttering, and enhanced graphical fidelity. This means that players will be able to explore the richly detailed environments of the game, from the bustling cityscapes to the mysterious dungeons, without being hindered by performance issues.
The article goes on to day that “most GeForce RTX 40 Series gamers –and those with comparable cards– can play Baldur’s Gate 3 at 4K, with every setting maxed, at over 60 frames per second.”
