Explosive Mines are one of the many fun tech options that REPO has in store for its players. As the name suggests, these are your usual mines, as seen in many video games, and are triggered through proximity. They have a 20-meter blast radius. Any monster or person stepping inside the radius will be blasted away after taking a whopping 200 damage. But the game doesn’t explain everything about them, and that’s what we are here to do.

All About Explosive Mines in REPO

Buying the Mines

Just like the Indestructible Drones, Explosive Mines are also found at the store. Players can acquire them from the Service Station. Of course, the only way to own them at the station is by paying a certain amount. In this case, the mines will usually be available for $3,000 apiece. We know. It is pretty expensive. But when you see what it’s capable of, you will understand the high price. If it is not in the Service Station, you can refresh the stocks by saving and reloading the game.

Another way of acquiring a Mine is by picking up the ones you or your friends have already laid down. However, it is a bit risky. Carefully walk up to the Explosive Mine to avoid triggering it. You can then press E to pick it up and place it somewhere else that you think will be a better spot.

Using the Explosive Mine in REPO

The thing with these fun little pieces of equipment is that they don’t instantly blow up. So, if you wanted to use it as an escape tool at the last moment, the game won’t let you. However, this is for your own good and to prevent you and your team from blowing yourselves up. You are required to be strategic about the placement of each Mine. Try installing it in places where you expect the most monsters.

Installing a Mine is pretty easy. You must first have it in your inventory. Equip it from the inventory and head to the place where you wish to set it up. Press E on your keyboard to install it! Now, all you have to do is wait for a monster to walk on it, whether by accident or by luring them in on purpose.
