Let’s take you through a simple walkthrough of how to complete the Monkey King’s dance battle.
The monkey king was a part of Zoe’s childhood memory. Both she and Ella used to visit a zoo where they would feed an old and lonely chimpanzee. With age, the zoo had to put the Chimpanzee to sleep.
Being such a close part of her heart, Zoe felt compelled to add the chimpanzee in her story in the form of a dancing Monkey King. Now let’s get berserk on the dance floor and have the monkey dance to our tunes.
Stage 1
The first stage involves mirroring the Monkey King’s pattern. This stage is all about observing the path, which the monkey king takes and doing it in the same manner. There are three sequences to this stage, each increasing the number of steps you will have to remember.
Once you finish the three sequences, the Monkey King is thrilled. He then initiates the next stage of the dance battle.
Stage 2
Stage two of this battle involves the two of you creating two trains of monkeys. You both have to collect monkeys wearing clothes of your colors. Zoe has to collect the green monkeys, and Mio has to collect the purple monkeys.
Simply walking over the monkey probes them to follow you. Remember that you shouldn’t cross each other’s path, or it will break your train, leading you to collect them over again. After collecting the monkeys from the center, the wall to the left will open up, unlocking more monkeys.
This is repeated till the right wall and bottom wall unlock. Once all the monkeys are collected, bring the train to the center dance floor and fill the green and purple meters. Once full, the stage is completed.
Stage 3
The last and final stage involves us mirroring the Monkey King’s dance move. You will need to move your joystick either up, down, left, or right as per what the Monkey King instructs you. Occasionally, some monkeys will either jump or be thrown on both Zoe and Mio. You will have to wiggle them out and continue to match the steps.
After three sequences of this stage, with each sequence getting faster, the dance battle finally ends. The Monkey King commends you for your exceptional dance skills and lets you continue your journey.
