Players can equip two weapons on their character and swap between them. Swapping weapons will not be an issue because, unlike in the New World, it will be automatic. You have a skill bar from 1 to 12; you can just press any skill on that bar, and it will activate. Swapping weapons changes your light and heavy attack, but players can use any skill from either weapon. The best weapon combination for the staff is Staff + Dagger or Staff + Wand. Like all other weapons paired with a dagger, Staff gets increased crit hit and crit damage on demand stealth and extra Weaken damage from the poison.
Staff and Wand can also be played with more damage focus and heal focus. It’s the closest thing to a hybrid healer and damage dealer should you choose to build so.
4 Longbow
The Longbow weapon build specializes in long-range sniping, binding enemies from behind, and dealing maximum damage. It can also be good to accelerate the stealth recovery of party members making it a huge asset to your allies. This is one of Thrones and Liberty’s best weapons because of its high damage output, output off-hand usage, amazing skills, and exceptional range.
Keep in mind that longbows can also be buffed by shooting with the direction of wind in the game. The best weapon combos for the Longbow are Longbow and Staff or Longbow and Daggers. Dagger is your bread and butter that will have you feeling like an assassin very similar to Primeval. You’ll have access to stealth, poisons, close to mid-range, Gap closing, and CC ability, but more importantly, big crits.
Despite these two weapon types being different, Longbow and Staff will give you the largest arsenal of range skills in the game with huge burst potential. Longbow will give you major single target range damage while staff provides not only single target burst but also big ranged AOE damage.
3 Dagger
The dagger is currently the only weapon that is very effective, along with every other weapon, making it one of the best overall choices in the game. However, as a main DPS weapon, it’s one of the worst in the current state. The damage output from the dagger alone is not very high, but this could be changed with the new skill expression coming soon in Korea.
Dagger does have the potential to deal sneaky good burst damage at times with some of its abilities due to its off-hand Proc rate which essentially allows you to hit twice, dealing nearly double the damage. Dagger in Throne and Liberty is a melee weapon that provides skills with high burst damage making it a perfect choice for players looking to create an assassin type of character. It is a lightweight weapon that allows for quick movement making it easier to dodge attacks and close in on enemies.

The best weapon combinations with Sword and Shield are Dagger and Wand. With the Dagger, you gain massive damage, especially early in the leveing process. SnS with a dagger is one of the tank-heavy builds in the game and an extremely strong choice in the early game as a pure tank.
A secondary choice is the Wand, which works for nearly invisible gameplay. The Wand, sword, and Shield combo is the most broken in the game due to the Archboss event. However, the combination with the SnS makes it the deadliest weapon.
1 Greatsword
The Greatsword build is a well-balanced weapon that combines a devastating combo attack with high stealth. With his urge-shattering attacks, it instantly penetrates the enemy defenses and dominates the battlefield. This is widely considered to be the most powerful melee weapon.
This weapon is built for heavy attacks so you can expect frequent double damage procs on your hits. Greatsword relies on stunning and knocking down opponents to set up its damage. The best weapon combinations for the Greatsword are Greatsword + Dagger and Greatsword + Sword and Shield. The Greatsword + Dagger combination will play like a damage-dealing assassin, giving you more of an In-and-out execute single targets-like gameplay style.
