Abyssal Contract Tokens are one of the main ways that will allow you to get better drops and rewards in Throne and Liberty. It is a form of currency that increases the quality of your drops and the overall drop-rate rates by consuming some of these tokens. Abyssal Contract Tokens are displayed at the top-right corner of your screen and have a maximum capacity of 20,000 tokens only.

You do not manually use the Abyssal Contract Tokens. They have a specific mechanic and will be used up automatically if you are farming in the right dungeons.

Abyssal Contract Tokens are automatically used up when you defeat enemies in the open-world dungeons. After you defeat an enemy, you will notice better item drops, while the number of Abyss Contract Tokens will decrease by a bit per enemy defeated.

Two of the most popular Abyss Dungeons that you can use these tokens in are:

  • Ant Nest, situated in the Moonlight Desert
  • Syleus’s Abyss, situated in the middle of the Shattered Temple

The Abyssal Contract Tokens work on all floors of these dungeons, and you can tackle them either solo or with a party. However, the monsters get significantly tougher on lower floors, so going in with a party will be easier.

Note that the Abyssal Contract Tokens do not work in any PvP dungeons, co-op dungeons, or any secret dungeons. They will only work on the open-world dungeons.

You can recharge Abyssal Contract Tokens by using the special Abyssal Contract Token Points. These act like reserve packets, and can be used anytime, even in between a dungeon run.

These usually come in the form of items known as Abyss Charged Stones. These give you a specific amount of Abyssal Contract Token Points upon consumption. While you should not be over-using these, keep in mind that Abyssal Contract Token Points expire after 30 days of receiving them. Hence, you need to find the most opportune moment to make good use of them.
