Throne and Liberty: All Guardians and How to Get Them

Throne and Liberty All Guardians and How to Get Them

Within Throne and Liberty, as your character advances they will unlock various ways to morph and shapeshift. Some of these new forms will help you traverse the world of Solisium. Moreover, other forms, known as Guardians, will allow you to transform into a powerful being. This All Guardians and How to Get Them guide for Throne and Liberty will go over every available Guardian, including how to get them, their abilities, backgrounds, and how they can complement your build!

What Are Guardians in Throne and Liberty?

Guardians in Throne and Liberty are powerful polymorphs that you can activate to transform into a new form and access new abilities. These transformations are similar to Ultimate abilities in other games. Consequently, the transformation will only last for 30 seconds. Additionally, it has an extended cooldown time of 10 minutes before you can transform again.

Therefore, because these transformations are limited resource you will want to make strategic decisions about which one to use and when is best to trigger it. Because of the long cooldown, it is likely that in most fights you will only get to make this transformation once or twice.

Brutal Warrior Valkarg

Throne and Liberty Guardian Brutal Warrior Valkarg

All Features for Guardian Brutal Warrior Valkarg:

  • Name: Brutal Warrior Valkarg
  • How to Get: Complete the Desert Plunderer’s quest at Camel Trade south of Vienta Village
  • Skill: Barbarian’s Thirst
  • Effect: Accumulates damage when hit up to 4000% of your Max Base Damage. When you inflict Stun, Bind or Sleep on an enemy, 25% of that accumulated damage is dealt to that enemy.

In Throne and Liberty, the Guardian Brutal Warrior Valkarg’s ability Barbarian’s Thirst will ‘charge up’ based on the amount of damage you are taking from enemies. Then, you can release a portion of all that damage back at your target by purposefully inflicting a Stun, Bind, or Sleep effect on them. The mechanics of this may seem complicated when you first read the tooltip, but think of it like the Blank Panther suit. It absorbs hits he takes, which he can then unleash in a burst against his enemies.

Consequently, Brutal Warrior Valkarg is a transformation that will work best for players who are playing as tanks in Throne and Liberty. The tank role is regularly under the most amount of pressure, and is built to take a lot of damage from all enemies. If you have a Sword and Shield build, then more damage you can withstand, and the more burst damage you can deal back in return.

Green Ranger Elowen

Throne and Liberty Guardian Green Ranger Elowen

All Features for Guardian Green Ranger Elowen:

  • Name: Green Ranger Elowen
  • How to Get: Complete the Elemental Tree Harvest quest at the Nesting Grounds
  • Skill: Thorn Shackles
  • Effect: On Summoning, has a 80% chance to Bind all enemies in a 4m radius for 5s. While Summoned, attacking any targets affected by Bind and Move Speed de-buffs will increase Melee, Ranged and Magical Critical Hit by 500.

In Throne and Liberty, the Guardian Green Ranger Elowen has a skill effect that is best used by damage dealers, particularly Dagger and Greatsword builds. When you transform into Elowen, you have a very high 80% chance to entangle all enemies within a 4 meter radius of you. This Bind effect will last for 5 seconds. Moreover, while you are still in Elowen’s form, all melee, ranged, and magical critical hits are increased by 500. Obviously, if all of your surrounding enemies are inflicted with Bind, you will have a short amount of time to get in a great amount of burst damage.

However, as the tooltip states that initial source of Bind when you summon Elowen only lasts for 5 seconds. Therefore, the best way to use Green Ranger Elowen would be to have other ways of inflicting Bind as part of your build. Without it, her additional burst damage will be very short lived and you’d be better off choosing a different Guardian.

Lady Knight Kamershea

T&L Guardian Lady Knight Kamarshea

All Features for Guardian Lady Knight Kamershea:

  • Name: Lady Knight Kamershea
  • How to Get: Complete the Elemental Tree Harvest quest at Daybreak Shore
  • Skill: Eternal Barrier
  • Effect: Creates a Shield for 50% of your maximum mana. While the Shield is up, increases Cooldown Speed by 40%. This Summon will be canceled if the Shield is removed.

In Throne and Liberty, the Guardian Lady Knight Kamershea skill Eternal Barrier is a great defensive ability that can also increase your cooldown speed. Summoning Kamershea will automatically create a shield for 50% of your maximum Mana. Furthermore, for as long as the shield lasts the cooldown speed on your abilities will increase by 40%. Therefore, you can combine a burst of defense with the ability to use your abilities more often and deal more damage.

Therefore, Lady Knight Kamershea could be a good all-around choice for Sword and Shield tanks or damage dealers with low survival like Staff. Theoretically, even healers could use her for on-the-spot protection, while also getting to cast more healing spells. However, most support roles will have more effective options for Guardians, depending on their playstyle. However, if you haven’t unlocked the Guardian you want yet, then Kamershea could be a decent place-holder.

Masked Warlock Dantalux

T&L Guardian Masked Warlock Dantalux

All Features for Guardian Masked Warlock Dantalux:

  • Name: Masked Warlock Dantalux
  • How to Get: Complete The Voice Behind the Mask quest at the Sandworm Lair in Stonegard
  • Skill: Abyssal Sanctuary
  • Effect: When using Mana, you recover 26% of the used Mana. 53% of your nearest party member’s Mana is also recovered.

In Throne and Liberty, the Masked Warlock Dantalux is a resource recovery Guardian who specializes in returning Mana to you, as well as another nearby party member. Furthermore, the boost to your ally is greater than the benefit you receive.

The tooltip states that when you use mana you will recover 26% of the used mana. Essentially, this means that any of your abilities that cost mana will use 26% less. This will allow you to cast more spells than otherwise.

Therefore, the Masked Warlock Dantalux is a Guardian who is best suited for a support role like a healer. Not only will they enable themselves to cast more healing spells, but they can greatly support the damage dealing capabilities of a Staff or Wand build. However, you will want to make sure you place yourself closest to the ally you wish to boost before triggering the transformation. Otherwise, the Mana buff could go to physical allies using primarily melee weapons.

Pale Nemesis Hartach

T&L Guardian Pale Nemesis Hartach

All Features for Guardian Pale Nemesis Hartach:

  • Name: Pale Nemesis Hartach
  • How to Get: Complete the Farewell quest at the Watcher’s Post/Ruins of Turayne
  • Skill: Stealth Blade
  • Effect: When an enemy target is defeated within 3 seconds, you will Hide for 5 seconds. At night, Hide time is increased to 7.5 seconds. Every first attack made while Hiding lands as a Critical Hit.

In Throne and Liberty, the Guardian Pale Nemesis Hartach is a burst damage Guardian that specializes in the ability to give you guaranteed critical hits when striking from stealth. However, to trigger the first Hide action you will need to defeat your enemy target within 3 seconds. Therefore, it would be best to wait to transform into Pale Nemesis Hartach until your first opponent has low HP.

Then, after that enemy falls you will enter stealth for three seconds. Additionally, if this happens while fighting at night the Hide time will extend to 7.5 seconds. After entering stealth, the first time you strike at a new enemy will guarantee a Critical Hit.

Therefore, the most effective way to use the Pale Nemesis Hartach is against groups of enemies. If done correctly, it’s possible that you could kill an enemy, go into stealth, strike with a Critical Hit, kill that enemy, reenter stealth, and so on. However, this guardian should not be equipped for single target boss fights, as the Stealth Blade ability would be rendered useless.

Shade Revenant Stheno

T&L Guardian Shade Revenant Stheno

All Features for Guardian Shade Revenant Stheno:

  • Name: Shade Revenant Stheno
  • How to Get: Complete the For Whom the Bell Tolls quest at the Ruins of Turayne
  • Skill: Dread Shard
  • Effect: Launches 5 projectiles at random enemies within a 10m range every second. A single enemy may be hit with multiple projectiles at the same time. Each projectile deals 52% of Base Damage.

In Throne and Liberty, the Guardian Shade Revenant Stheno is a good guardian choice for range damage dealers because his projectiles will automatically fire at nearby enemies. Moreover, this guardian is useful against both mobs of enemies and single target bosses. This is because even if there is only one active enemy, they can be hit with more than one projectile.

Furthermore, the amount of damage the projectiles do will be calculated using your Base Damage stat. Therefore, this Guardian will be most effective when used by damage dealing builds. Tanks and healers are likely to have other support stats prioritized, so they would not get the same damage boost as a DPS.

Vampire Slayer Ezekiel

T&L Guardian Vampire Slayer Ezekiel

All Features for Guardian Vampire Slayer Ezekiel:

  • Name: Vampire Slayer Ezekiel
  • How to Get:
  • Skill: Vampiric Scar
  • Effect: Defense increases by 400. Deals damage over time equal to 0.6% of your Max Health per second to hostile targets within a 2.5m radius. Restores Health by 20% of damage dealt to those targets.

In Throne and Liberty, the Vampire Slayer Ezekiel is a fantastic first Guardian that can provide good survivability to any class, weapon, and build in the game. Not only will this transformation instantly increase your Defense by 400 points, but it will also create a damage over time effect on the ground in a 2.5 meter radius around you. Furthermore, this DoT will deal damage to any enemies inside of it based on your Max Health. Therefore, the more health you have, the more damage it will deal.

Even better is that this DoT will also passively heal you for 20% of the damage dealt to those targets. Consequently, the best way to use the Vampire Slayer Ezekiel transformation is to save it for a moment when your health is in trouble, you’re under pressure and you need a burst of survivability. The Vampiric Scar ability will keep you alive and restore some of your health, helping you to recover and continue the fight.
