The Cave of Destruction is one of the many dangerous and exciting dungeons that players can find in Throne and Liberty.
Throne and Liberty has a massive and fantastical world for players to explore. In the game, Solisium is filled to the brim for players to not only explore but also engage in various activities. Among these activities, the classic dungeons stand tall still. There are many different dungeons in the game; however, the Cave of Destruction can be a good starting point when it comes to endgame dungeons. The Cave of Destruction can provide a fair amount of challenge while being easier than other dungeons to complete.
In this article, we will break down how you can make your way through the Cave of Destruction Dungeon in Throne and Liberty.
How to Get Through the Cave of Destruction Dungeon in Throne and Liberty
The Cave of Destruction Dungeon features two prominent boss fights that you have to take on to complete the dungeon. Before that, you will have to clear out the mobs in the dungeon upon entering the Cave of Destruction. There are multiple rooms filled with mobs you have to get through before you get to the Giant Mutant Acid Ant boss fight. Keep a lookout for the ant mobs you fight in the dungeon. They can explode upon dying and deal AoE damage.
First Boss – Giant Mutant Acid Ant
After clearing out the mobs, you will come across a Giant Acid Ant egg. Destroy it to spawn the Giant Mutant Acid Ant and prepare for battle against it. The Giant Mutant Acid Ant is not too much of a challenge. However, you still have to avoid the boss’ green acid that it spits on the ground. This can be avoided by simply moving out of the attack’s way. Additionally, the Giant Mutant Acid Ant can pull players in with their Fury attacks. You can block or evade this attack to avoid taking damage from it.
How to defeat Lequirus
Your final challenge in the Cave of Destruction Dungeon is Lequirus. The boss features some interesting mechanics that make it more daunting than a regular boss fight. When the battle begins, Lequirus will target the Tank of the party. You can use this time to get in some quick damage to start the boss fight off. The boss will then spawn red and blue ants. Along with the ants, there will also be a colored marked area on the ground.
During this phase, take out the ant that matches the color of the colored marked area. If you do this, you will be granted an attack buff for the boss fight. The boss will then let out a scream. This is your queue to run to the colored marked area on the ground, where a pillar will grow from the ground. Be on the pillar to avoid the boss’ AoE attack.
Also, take out the Gem Ant, which will spawn on one of the platforms in the arena. Defeat it and continue fighting Lequirus till its health falls below 50%. At this point, the boss will start putting larvae on players. Stand together with your party members and merge the lava to get it off.
