Learn more about how you can complete the challenging and rewarding Cursed Wasteland dungeon in Throne and Liberty.
Throne and Liberty has no shortage of activities and side quests for players to take part in. These activities can not only provide engaging content in the world of Solisium but can also provide challenging battles that are satisfying to overcome. Among these activities, the Cursed Wasteland Dungeon stands out as one of the most intense yet rewarding activities for players to go through.
In this article, we break down how you can get through the Cursed Wasteland dungeon in Throne and Liberty and take down some powerful foes along the way.
How to Get Through the Cursed Wasteland Dungeon in Throne and Liberty
When you start your journey through the Cursed Wasteland dungeon, you will enter an area where you fight Avolos monsters. Additionally, you will notice glowing cracks on the ground. These cracks must be avoided at all costs. This is because any player who comes in contact with a crack will take damage and be stunned. As you progress through the area, you will come across a bonfire before reaching a gate with two guards. Defeating them will take you to the first boss of the dungeon, Blath.
First Boss – Blath
When you enter the boss room, you will see a purple orb. You need to destroy this orb to spawn Blath. This fight is not too complicated to navigate in Throne and Liberty. You only need to look out for Blath’s attack, where he pulls players towards himself. This attack cannot be avoided. The attack is then followed by an array of cracks appearing around you, with a lingering insta-kill AoE attack approaching. You need to get away while making sure you don’t touch the cracks. After defeating Blath, you will come across two elemental monsters guarding the entrance to the next boss fight.
Second Boss – Belrog
Belrog is the next major boss you fight in the Cursed Wasteland dungeon. However, much like Blath, the fight can be incredibly easy if you know what to do. The boss features a similar mechanic to Blath. With this mechanic, Belrog pulls all of the players to the centre of the arena. However, now your party has to coordinate your efforts to deactivate the cracks that appear on the ground. You can do this by looking at the orbs floating over the cracks and interacting with them.
How to defeat Shaikal in Throne and Liberty
Shaikal is the ultimate challenge in the Cursed Wasteland dungeon. This fight is much more challenging and mechanically demanding than the previous bosses. The boss features a massive cleave attack that will be targeted towards the tank of the party. Apart from this, the boss has a Fury AoE attack that can be blocked upon being signified by the purple indicator. The boss can also let out smaller ground AoE attacks that can spawn under players. These can be avoided by simply moving when the attacks spawn.
The boss also utilises two orb-based attacks. During the Red Orb attack, one of the players will be marked with a red orb. The player then needs to make their way to the edge of the arena, where an AoE attack will form from the red orb. The player can then leave the AoE zone and avoid damaging your party members. The Purple Orb attack, on the other hand, marks one of the players with a purple orb, and one of the party members has to interact with a crack opposite the purple orb and then avoid the purple cone attack that follows the marked player.
Finally, Shaikal can go into a raging frenzy when its health falls below 25%. During this phase, the boss can mark two players with the Red Orb attack and also perform the Purple Orb attack twice in a row. However, these attacks can be dealt with in the same way as before.
