Death’s Abyss is an endgame dungeon in Throne and Liberty that is recommended for players who have acquired level 50, the highest level in the game. The dungeon, given its high-level requirement, can be quite a challenging experience. However, the rewards you can earn through it definitely make it worthwhile.
In this article, we will break down how you can make your way through the Death’s Abyss Dungeon in Throne and Liberty. This includes the different bosses you face and the rewards you can earn while progressing through the Dungeon.
How to Get Through the Death’s Abyss Dungeon in Throne and Liberty
As you enter the Death’s Abyss Dungeon, you will come across an area that is mostly easy to deal with. Here, you will encounter your very first Arbiter. The Arbiter is a unique enemy type in the game, focusing heavily on its built-in wipe mechanic. You will have to utilize your CC (Crowd Control) and stuns to the best of your ability to get past this enemy. This can include the shove skill from Tanks and the freeze skill with the Staff.
You can easily take an Arbiter down by CC’ing it after it says, “I’ll wipe you all!” If you time this right, you will prevent the Arbiter from carrying out a devastating AoE attack. At this point, you can deal your own share of damage to the enemy and move on in the dungeon.
First Boss – Shadowmancer
The Shadowmancer will be your next challenge in the Death’s Abyss Dungeon. Much like the Arbiter enemy type, the Shadowmancer can utilize a wipe mechanic that can be countered if you CC her right before she casts the spell. Just like the Arbiter, you need to CC Shadowmancer right after she says, “I’ll end your life.”
If timed correctly, this CC can counter her stun and wipe attack. You can then take her out with ease in coordination with your team. Just watch out for the boss’s AoE attack on the floor.
Second Boss – Elite Arkeum Riot Squad Captain
Your next challenge in Throne and Liberty’s Death’s Abyss Dungeon is the Elite Arkeum Riot Squad Captain. The Captain can be a little difficult to go up against as you have to first open his room by pulling levers in both side rooms. While there are a ton of mobs around the levers, you don’t have to eliminate all of them to pull the levers.
Once you have entered the room with the Captain, you need to take out the Arbiter and the Archer near the Captain. You can then engage with the Riot Captain. Much like the previous encounters, you need to keep your ears open for audio cues. When the boss says “Impossible”, he will form a shield around himself that you can break using DPS. The boss then yells out “Die!” and here, your Tank needs to CC him to counter his large AoE attack.
How to defeat Karnix
The final challenge of the Death’s Abyss Dungeon is the Karnix. This boss is quite challenging if you are not aware of the mechanics being used. When the fight begins, Karnix will throw out scythes that chase down marked players in the arena. You can avoid these by dodging. After this, Karnix will mark one of the players in the party with a black circle.
All players in the party need to stand next to the marked player to negate Karnix’s attack. Once the circle phase is over, Karnix will do a Fury attack that you can block while standing still.
