Dead by Daylight is receiving another update. Find out when the popular Manga creator’s work is coming to DBD.
Dead by Daylight and manga fans can rejoice as the ultimate Junji Ito Collection is coming to the game soon. This is the perfect post-Halloween treat that the asymmetrical horror game fans could have asked for.
Junji Ito is a Japanese manga artist who is recently booming in the West thanks to the Uzumaki anime. He is popular for creating horrors beyond human comprehension. This is exactly what DBD is all about!
If you are bored with the already-existing wide variety of killers and survivors in the game, the update is bringing you something fresh on January 7th, 2025. Anime and manga fans can be happy that Junji Ito’s work is finally coming to a widely enjoyed online game. And as usual, DBD is getting a new set of scary faces. It’s a win-win situation.
However, be mindful that the game isn’t bringing in brand-new killers or survivors. Instead, adding some new rare and legendary skins. Irrespective of the nature of the update, we believe you will get hyped once you get to know what exactly is coming to town.
What Junji Ito Characters Are Coming to Dead by Daylight?
There have been major updates in the game in the past where we received brand new killers and survivors as part of a single collection/update. This time around, though, things are a bit different. Instead of adding a different character model, the developers are altering existing ones to fit them better into the Junji Ito world.
If you are familiar with both Miss Fuchi and Tomie, from the Fashion Model and Painter manga, respectively, you are in for a treat. Fuchi will be introduced as a new skin for The Artist while Tomie becomes The Spirit. Moreover, The Trickster, The Dredge, The Twins, Yui Kimura, Yun-Jin Lee, and Kate Denson are all receiving new skins to sit well in the Junji Ito Collection.

You are not required to necessarily equip these skins, though. Your favorite DBD killers and survivors aren’t changing permanently. Those who acquire these skins can equip them if they like.
If this collaboration works well, we may see these survivors and/or killers receiving their own models rather than just being new skins.
