How To Reach Pripyat in Stalker 2
To reach Pripyat, focus on obtaining the M-Scanner. You get access to it during the mission “The Boundary.” This tool is essential for bypassing the electro-anomalies that block the path to Pripyat. Once you have it, you can choose between two main options: using the M-Scanner yourself or exchanging it for a Pripyat permit. Each method comes with its benefits.
If You Use the M-Scanner Yourself
If you decide to keep the M-Scanner, head to the Tornado Anomaly near Yaniv Station. Look for a tunnel near the abandoned trainyard. Loop around the anomaly to locate the entrance. Inside, set up the scanner on the glowing semi-circle to clear the anomalies. Once the path is clear, crouch and walk through the tunnel. Be cautious and use bolts to navigate the remaining hazards. This method grants you direct access to Jupiter and Pripyat.
If You Exchange the M-Scanner for a Pripyat Permit
Alternatively, you can trade the M-Scanner with Dmytro Nor at Yaniv Station. He offers a Pripyat permit and coupons in exchange. This is often considered the best option. It provides an easier route to Pripyat and grants access to the Yaniv base door for future travels. Nor’s reward also depends on your difficulty level, giving more coupons for easier settings.
How To Get to Pripyat Early in Stalker 2
For an alternative shortcut, head to the Garbage region. Search for a specific border location between Yaniv and Jupiter. Here, climb onto a train car. From this point, run along the train path to reach Pripyat. This method skips the need for the M-Scanner entirely but requires precise navigation.
Once you’re in Pripyat, look for a guide in the Palace of Culture. This NPC can help you return safely. Use this shortcut sparingly, as it bypasses parts of the story but provides fewer rewards compared to using the M-Scanner or trading it with Nor.
