In MMORPGs, quick movement is essential for reaching different locations on the map—whether it is for events, PvP battles, or territory fights. Luckily, Throne and Liberty is not one of those games that leaves you stuck traveling slowly. It provides various ways for you to navigate the world of Solisium.

What is Fast Travel in Throne and Liberty?

Explore this massive world without wearing out your virtual shoes. You can Fast Travel using Waypoints, underwater, and even in the sky. Or, you can use the Piton to move to any location. Going to a specific location can cost you time and involves a lot of running around, so you should value Fast Travel techniques in the game.

Waypoints

Fast Travel in Throne and Liberty is facilitated through Waypoints – large stone structures with glowing markings. Players first encounter these in Kastleton, the starting city. To activate a Waypoint, simply interact with it. This triggers a lore cutscene about the location.

Fast Travel is free in the initial stages of the game, and players can simply open the map to travel to the last activated Waypoint. However, around level 30, a cost system is introduced using Sollant.

The interface displays the basic cost, the required cost, and the available Sollant balance. A unique Waypoint in Sordroma requires riding the Gigantrite. Use the Waypoints to teleport to the locked areas for quick movement around the map. There are multiple Dungeon Waypoints, and interacting with them takes you to any floor you desire. To use the Dungeon Waypoints, you must have Sollant (In-game currency). Interact with the Waypoint again to replay the cutscene.

Morph

Morphs in Throne and Liberty are essentially transformations. You can traverse locations faster as a sure-footed panther or fly directly to your objective as a bird. This mechanic helps you cover more ground in the game and move faster than ever.

Use them for completing quests or navigating dangerous areas without facing enemies. You can unlock each one of them by simply killing and taking out creatures you find in the open world.

Dash Morph

Use the Dash Morph to convert yourself into an animal that helps you run faster and cover land in no time. Dash covers running creatures, and you can get some of them at the beginning of the tutorial. Wolf is the best one to utilize as you will be able to move quickly from one place to another. Do note that stamina is consumed when you Morph, and you will exhaust yourself when run out of stamina.

Glide Morph

You can transform into a flying creature whenever you jump from a certain height. This will help save your life from powerful enemies, and you can prevent yourself from falling from the height. Flying in the air will cost you a huge amount of stamina.

The Glide Morph can quickly reduce your stamina, also reducing your flight distance. Activate it by pressing jump while in midair, and you can then fly for as long as your stamina meter lasts.  Once the stamina ends, you will resume your normal form and steadily descend to the ground.

Swim Morph

The Swim Morph changes you into an aquatic animal and lets you travel through any body of water quickly. Your character will change into the designated Swim creature when you have reached a specific depth while swimming in the water. You can even swim in lava taking any kind of damage in this state. Press the Shift key twice, exit the water, or hit the mouse wheel button to cancel the Morph.

Gigantrite

Gigantrite is a flying whale that allows you to ride on its back and tour all the locations of Solisium. You can complete The Little Friend in the Sky Quest to get familiar with its mechanics. Gigantrite in Throne and Liberty is not the best way to travel quickly, but it is kind of fun. You can complete several quests while on the back of the giant flying whale. It spawns after every three hours in the game. You will gain a buff-increasing mana regen when it appears on the map.

Gigantrite does not land, so you need to go up to hop on its back. Move to the tallest tower at Starlight Observatory Ruins and use the Glide Morph to reach the whale when it is close enough to you. Here are all the locations where you can find the whale.

  • Purelight Tower
  • Starlight Observatory
  • Veder Lookout
  • Starlight Observatory
  • Stonegard Castle Walls
  • Saurodoma Island
  • Stonegard Castle

Gigantrite cannot be controlled in Throne and Liberty, but you can jump on its back to enjoy the beautiful ride.

Return

Once you progress through the main storyline in the game, you can travel back anytime in the game. Choose the Return option from the Hotbar to return to the last area or camp you visited. Complete the Herbalist’s Explanation Codex to get access to this option in Throne and Liberty. Teleport to the closest base by utilizing the Return option from the menu. Teleporting to any location using the Return ability does not require any fees and offers a quicker alternative to Dash Morph.

Teleport Scrolls

Guilds can move to their home base in Vienta Village or Stoneguard Castle using Fast Travel. However, the Guild must own the Stonegard Castle. Purchase the Guild Base Teleport Scrolls from the local Guild Merchant. You can use it one time to teleport to your Guild Base.

Grappling

You can Grapple using specialized locations known as Pitons. The Grappling Hook leads to secret Dungeons and more collectibles when used properly. Pitons are the Grappling locations located on the side of cliffs. Utilize the Pitons to travel to unreachable locations in the game. The game offers two different types of Pitons – one allows you to bounce into the air and the other one takes you to a specific location. The blue and red connecting marks are displayed when you are using Pitons.

  • Blue Mark: Send you to a specific location.
  • Red Mark: Take you into the air.

What Are the Benefits of Fast Travel in Throne and Liberty?

Traversing in Throne and Liberty is kind of hectic. Moving from one location to another takes time and stamina, and that is where Fast Travel comes to save you. Use the Morphs to change into any creature to move quickly or teleport yourself using Waypoints.

Completing the main storyline, Codex, and Contracts require much time, some of the objectives require you to go to specific locations. Use any fast-traveling technique to make the process efficient.
