While traversing feudal Japan, you will often come across NPCs who will ask you some tricky riddles. If you think about these riddles for some time, the answer may become clear automatically. However, if you don’t want to think about it too deeply, the answers are all provided below.

The First Riddle Answer in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

This is a recurring riddle across the game. You may encounter this puzzle in many locations across the map, from random encounters. The question can be asked to both Naoe and Yasuke.

Question: I am sucked in from the bottom and let out from the mouth. What am I?

You will have three options to choose from:

• Burp
• Tobacco Smoke
• Evil Spirit

The correct answer to this riddle is tobacco smoke. Unfortunately, picking this option will make the NPC burst into a sob story. You can choose to listen to him and not take the Mon as a reward. If you spare him from giving you Mon, then he will reward you by updating some markers on the map.

Otherwise, you can just take the Mon and leave—there is no harm in choosing either option. Therefore, you can pick whichever resource you want to acquire.

Second Riddle Answer in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

This second question will ask you to identify the origin of a seashell. You will need to mention the correct province to successfully pass this riddle. The options for this riddle are:

• Kyoto
• Omi
• Wakasa

The only correct answer here is Wakasa. Select that, and you will receive a World Rumor.
