In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the Friend of My Enemy mission is a main mission in which Naoe continues her journey to avenge her father’s death. She gets back to Tomiko to inform him about the killings of two Onryos, where she further discovers a letter from Mitsuhide. The Friend of My Enemy mission in AC Shadows will bring Naoe one step closer to finding the masked samurais behind the death of Nagato, her father. The mission will require you to complete the following objectives:

Talk to Tomiko
Meet Mitsuhide
Talk to Mitsuhide

Talk to Tomiko

The first objective of the Friend of My Enemy mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is to talk to Tomiko at the Hideout. Upon reaching there, you will find Tomiko sitting at the table. After speaking with him, a cutscene will trigger where Naoe informs him that she has eliminated the two Onryos.

Tomiko shows Naoe a letter stating that Lord Mitsuhide, the right hand of Lord Oda Nobunaga, wants to meet her. Tomiko warns Naoe of the potential danger of meeting Mitsuhide, and the dialogue options open:

It will be fine.
It’s dangerous.

Once you choose any option, Junjiro will interrupt and advise Naoe not to go to Katana to meet Mitsuhide. Despite all of this, Naoe will head out.

Meet Mitsuhide

You get the following details about Mitsuhide in the Friends of My Enemy mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows:

He is in Settsu.
He is Katano Castle.

Take the help of the scouts to reach Katana Castle. Once you arrive, use Survey to locate the soldiers in the castle’s vicinity. Follow these steps to locate Mitsuhide:

Move past the Castle’s boundary and leap onto the roof of the main guarded area.
Descend and eliminate the soldier standing there.
Take the help of the bushes to arrive at the front door.
Open the door and head inside to find Mitsuhide.

Talk to Mitsuhide

When you enter the main room, a cutscene will trigger in which you and Mitsuhide will talk while drinking tea. During the conversation, he will inform Naoe about the first Onryo she killed. After that, you get the following dialogue choices:

You know a lot.
You know nothing.

Select either option, and Mitsuhide will tell Naoe his intentions of killing Lord Oda Nobunaga. He further adds that he knows about the masked samurai who killed Nagato, Naoe’s father. Afterward, another dialogue option opens:

I believe you.
I don’t believe you.

The outcome of both options is the same, so choose whichever option you want. Next, Mitsuhide calls Ise Sadaoki and tells Naoe to meet him in Kyoto.

This wraps up the Friend of My Enemy mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and starts the next mission, Belly of the Beast.
