In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Castles and Forts align with the Japanese theme, adding to the immersion of environmental storytelling. However, these castles are not for show—they serve as major bases filled with valuable loot and resources. Of course, they are also heavily fortified with guards. In addition to regular enemies, a special elite enemy called Samurai Daisho also guards these locations.

You can only loot a castle’s Legendary Chest after eliminating all Samurai Daisho within that specific location. Nagahama Castle is one of the more challenging strongholds in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, containing four Samurai Daisho along with a tricky layout to navigate.

Where to Find Nagahama Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Nagahama Castle is located in the Omi region, northeast of Lake Biwa. It is separated from the mainland and positioned between Ibu Highlands and Ghoshiki Outlands. The Nagahama Castle has a tricky layout, connecting with the Teppo Factory at the northwest.

It is a low-wealth base and contains four Samurai Daisho. While the castle covers a large area, all four Samurai Daisho are scattered in the southeastern region. This means infiltrating from the southeast can help you to complete your objectives more effectively. 

Nagahama Castle All Samurai Daisho Location in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Samurai Daisho are marked by the Samurai helmet symbol on the HUD while navigating an area. For more precise details about their whereabouts, you can use your observation mechanics. 

The Samurai Daisho of Nagahama Castle can be found at the following locations:

• Samurai Daisho 1: You will find the first Samurai Daisho as you approach the Nagahama Castle Island from the east. The Samurai patrols an open area in the region. 
• Samurai Daisho 2: Follow the outer walls towards the east until you reach another open area at the end. The second Samurai Daisho stands there, accompanied by a few other enemies in the surroundings. 
• Samurai Daisho 3: To eliminate the third Samurai Daisho, you need to go across the water. Dive into the water from the previous location and swim westwards to find an isolated area, where the Samurai sits in a shelter near a well. 
• Samurai Daisho 4: As for the final Samurai, he can be found at the main building, where the Legendary Chest is located. He is located near the staircase on the first floor.

Nagahama Castle Legendary Chest Location and Rewards in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Once you eliminate all four Samurai Daisho, the Legendary Chest becomes available to loot. You will find a staircase inside a room at the center of the third floor. Head upstairs and you will find the Legendary Chest near an NPC. Open the chest to receive Mamushi Snake Robes, a Legendary Light Armor.
