Discover what the Antechamber holds by following this guide and get a step closer to understanding the truth in Blue Prince.

Blue Prince is full of enigmas to decipher. Every dawn presents new questions about the nature of the mansion. When you begin your journey, the first two goals you’re given are to reach the Antechamber and Find Room 46. While the latter is a multi-step goal, the objective we’ll explore in this guide is reaching the antechamber. You should focus on this goal as a beginner exploring the mansion of Mt. Holly.
As Blue Prince is rogue-like, each day you enter the mansion, the floor plan is erased. When you open a door, you’ll get a selection of three random rooms to draft. Due to the randomized nature of the game, it’s impossible to have a definite guide for reaching the Antechamber. It may take several days to reach it, it’s up to the RNG system how it pans out. Even if you can’t reach the Antechamber, there’s plenty to discover in the procedurally generated mansion of Blue Prince.
How To Reach the Antechamber

One thing that might prove beneficial for reaching the antechamber is to open early-game doors. This will help you to build up an inventory of keys, gems and coins. Even if you’re losing steps, you’re learning more about each room, making later runs easier. You should develop your own room drafting strategy to progress the game at your own convenience. Here are some important currencies you’ll gain by exploring certain room types to make sure runs more efficiently:
- Purple Rooms: Steps
- Green Rooms: Gems
- Gold Rooms: Coins
- Orange Rooms: Keys
- Red Rooms: Vexation
You’ll need a mix of every room type to reach the Antechamber, but your drafting strategy will depend on the puzzles you’ve solved and personal preference. It partly depends on the game’s RNG system and partly on your wit and strategy. Once you reach the Antechamber, you will find that all three entrances are sealed. Luckily, we’re here to show you how to open them.
How To Open the Antechamber
Three levers can open the three primary doorways of the Antechamber. Each lever opens a door on a specific side. The Greenhouse lever opens the western door, the Secret Hall Lever unlocks the southern door. And the Grand Hall lever opens the eastern door.
The Greenhouse Lever

The Greenhouse is another room that will be blessed upon you by the RNG Gods during your journey through Mt. Holly. When you enter, you’ll see a broken mechanism on the wall. You need to attach The Broken Lever to pull it and open the Southern antechamber door.
Finding the Broken Lever is another luck-based thing. We’ve noticed it appearing often in the Spare Room and Security Room. However, when you find it, the Greenhouse may or may not be available to you. This is when the Coat Room becomes useful, to temporarily store the lever and pick it up in the next run.
The Great Hall Lever

You can randomly find the Great Hall behind locked doors if you use the Silver Key. In typical roguelike fashion, you most often find the key randomly in the Billiard Room and the Locksmith. Inside the Great Hall, you see seven locked doors. One of those doors has the lever you’re looking for. You’ll need up to six keys to find the lever. You can get keys from several rooms, including Locksmith, Billiard Room and the Store Room.
Players can also look for the lockpicking set to have a chance to open doors without needing a key. You can also draft a foyer, which unlocks all doors in every Hallway. Now you can check behind every door for the lever.
The Secret Garden Lever

To get into the Secret Garden, you need to find the Secret Garden Key. The key is most often in the Billiards Room, Music Room and Locksmith. Once the key is found, you need to find a locked door in the westernmost or easternmost column in the mansion. When you find it, use the key to open the door to the Secret Garden.
When inside the Secret Garden, you must find a fountain topped by a weather vane. Use the valves near the fountain to turn the vane to point all three signs towards the statue. This reveals a lever to open the Western Antechamber door.
Secondary Antechamber Levers
Each Antechamber door has a secondary door hidden cleverly in the mansion. The secondary Antechamber levers can be found in these areas:
- East Door – It’s found behind the first secondary door in the Mechanarium. The Mechanarium has up to eight doors, with the first floor leading to a connected room. If there aren’t connections, the Mechanarium will create secondary doors in intercardinal directions. You’ll find the lever behind the first secondary door.
- South Door – Found behind the breakable wall in the Weight Room. Break the wall punching bag with a power hammer. (Sledgehammer + Broken Lever + Battery Pack)
- West Door – Found behind the breakable wall in the Secret Garden. Break the brick wall behind the valve handwheel with a Power Hammer to find another valve handwheel. Turn the wheel and reverse the directions of the arrows to find a secondary lever.
- North Door – Found behind the Throne in the Throne Room. Found within a secret floor plan randomly generated in the mansion.
What Lies in the Antechamber?

In the Antechamber, you’ll find some randomly generated rewards. Most importantly, you will find the Basement Key. The Basement Key comes with a note; read it. You might think this is it, the final reveal, but not yet. Head into the Basement to continue your journey in Blue Prince.
