Acquiring weapons in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a whole different adventure. Sometimes you have to complete a quest, and sometimes you have to fight a boss. Jarum is obtained by defeating the Chromatic Jar found in the Continent.
To get to this boss, you’ll have to unlock Esquie and the ability to swim. You can find this monster near the White Tree located on the map. After defeating this boss, you will get Jarum, 5 Colors of Lumina, and 2 Resplendent Chromo Catalysts.

How To Use Jarum in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Jarum is a non-element weapon. Only Maelle can use this weapon, and it changes her whole playstyle. Additionally, it scales on defense and luck. Both of these stats are necessary to make Maelle stronger, so it is a win-win situation. Moreover, it has some great passives that will help you in dealing massive damage. Here are all the passives of Jarum:
- Level 4: Switch to virtouse stance on counterattack.
- Level 10: Apply 5 burn on counterattack.
- Level 20: 50% increased counter damage per shield.
