Mythics are a special unlockable item in the Elder Scrolls Online that makes unique changes to your build. After scrying for five unique items, combine them to create the mythic. Once unlocked, you can create as many through the transmute station.

What are the Top 10 Mythics for ESO?

The best mythics in eso are the Velothi Ur-Mage’s Amulet, Death Dealer’s Fete, and the Pearls of Ehlnofey. The Velothi Ur-Mage’s Amulet tops this list as the most dominant mythic in the most content. You can slot this mythic for almost anything and feel the damage boost.

Death Dealer’s Fete is a close second for primarily PvP content, as it offers the most stats in the game on a single item. While the Pearls of Ehlnofey might be the most impactful mythic in the Elder Scrolls Online when paired with the Pillager’s Promise set, it comes in third because it is a much more niche option in group content.

10. The Oakensoul Ring

Oakensoul provides the following set bonuses in ESO:

(1 item) While equipped, you are unable to swap between your Primary and Backup Weapon Sets and gain Minor Berserk, Minor Courage, Major Brutality, Major Sorcery, Major Prophecy, Major Savagery, Minor Force, Minor Protection, Major Resolve, Minor Mending, Minor Fortitude, Minor Intellect, Minor Endurance, Minor Heroism, Minor Slayer, Minor Aegis, and Empower.

The Oakensoul Ring has been an impactful mythic since it was released with High Isle. While it’s still an excellent option if you want to play a one-bar build, it just doesn’t perform as well as a proper two-bar build. However, it still snags tenth place on our list because it opens up an entire genre of builds that perform well in the meta.

Even if you do not want to play a one-bar build, they are still more than competent for alts who only enter Cyrodiil for their tier 1s.

The Mora’s Whispers mythic provides the following set bonuses in ESO:

(1 item) Gain up to 1528 Critical Chance and 10% increased Inspiration, Alliance Rank, Alliance skill, and 15% monster kill experience based on how many books of Shalidor’s Library have been collected.

Mora’s is one of the best set-and-forget mythics in the Elder Scrolls Online. It offers the most critical chance from a single item in the game and some nice to-have bonus passives. They’re not why you choose this mythic; it’s all about the crit.

Mora’s can be used in both PvE and PvP. While there might be better options, 1528 is a ton of critical chance. You can easily slot Mora’s in almost any build, and it will perform well. The only major setup of this myth is that it requires a large amount of Shalidor’s Library to be collected. This list isn’t account-wide, so you must recollect every book again per character to run this mythic on multiple characters. It’s perfect on the Sorcerer, Dragonknight, and, to a lesser extent, the Templar. It’s not used in the other classes as much.

8. Harpooner’s Wading Kilt Mythic

The Harpooner’s Wading Kilt provides the following set bonuses in ESO:

(1 item) Dealing direct damage grants you a stack of Hunter’s Focus for 20 seconds, up to 10 stacks max. You can only gain 1 stack of Hunter’s Focus per second. Each stack of Hunter’s Focus increases your Critical Chance by 110 and your Critical Damage by 1%. Taking direct damage removes 5 stacks of Hunter’s Focus, up to once per second. Removing Harpooner’s Wading Kilt removes all stacks of Hunter’s Focus.

The Harpooner’s Wading Kilt is more of a situational mythic in the Elder Scrolls Online, landing it slightly higher on our 10 best mythics in the ESO list. When it’s good, though, it’s excellent.

The Kilt quickly builds a lot of stacks, and staying at max stacks is your priority to maximize the buff. Stacking up to 10 times, this item gives 1100 critical chances and 10% critical damage as long as you can maintain your stacks.

This item is so situationally powerful because you only lose stacks to direct damage. During fights with very little direct damage, you can stay at 10 stacks the entire fight. For the same reason, however, this is more of a PvE mythic than a PvP mythic, as your stacks drop off almost as soon you enter combat in PvP.

The Malacath’s Band of Brutality provides the following set bonuses in ESO:

(1 item) Increases your damage done by 16% but decreases your Critical Damage done by 50%.

The Malacath’s Band of Brutality mythic is a fantastic PvP mythic in the Elder Scrolls Online. A 16% damage boost is massive, and critical damage isn’t as highly sought after in many PvP content. Depending on your build, that flat damage boost on a single item is solid. Malacath’s can also build in a lot of raw damage in a tankier setup without needing a 5 piece to get extra damage.

It’s right up there with the other rings later in these 10 best mythics in the ESO list. Those rings are a little more versatile without the adverse effects of Malacath’s. It’s still strong in the right build, though.

6. Sea-Serpent’s Coil Best ESO Mythics

The Sea-Serpent’s Coil provides the following set bonuses in ESO:

(1 item) While at full Health, you gain 40% damage reduction. After taking damage while at full Health in combat, you gain Serpent’s Rebuke for 10 seconds, snaring yourself by 40% and gaining Major Berserk and Major Courage, increasing your damage done by 10% and Weapon and Spell Damage by 430. The damage resistance does not apply while Serpent’s Rebuke is active.

Sea-Serpent’s Coil quickly enters our 10 best mythics in the ESO list. It’s not as strong as it used to be in PvE content with the release of Velothi Ur-Mage’s Amulet, but it’s still a solid option in specific fights like Lokkestiiz. Because it offers Major Courage, groups used to switch every damage dealer into Sea Serpent’s Coil on bosses that deal constant damage to the group. This allows the healers to provide different buffs instead of Major Courage. However, that isn’t done as often since there are better options for overall group DPS.

Sea-Serpent still cracks in PvP, though. There aren’t a lot of Major Courage sources in the Elder Scrolls Online, and this is your best option for unorganized PvP content.

5. Spaulder of Ruin Best ESO Mythics

The Spaulder of Ruin provides the following set bonuses in ESO:

(1 item) Activating crouch activates and deactivates a 12-meter Aura of Pride. Up to 6 group members in the aura gain 260 Weapon and Spell Damage. Reduce your Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery by 70 for every target benefiting from your Aura of Pride.

Spaulder is sick in PvE content, but it’s a sweatier mythic to run in the Elder Scrolls Online. Spaulder is often put on a support or the Necromancer in PvE content. Necros have excellent sustain right now and usually have the easiest time maintaining solid uptimes. For groups wanting to get a little more serious, adding Spaulder is a perfect way to boost overall group DPS.

The Markyn Ring of Majesty gives some offense and some defense, and it’s a fantastic set-and-forget PvP set. The versatility is one of the biggest advantages of the Markyn Ring of Majesty mythic in the Elder Scrolls Online. This mythic is used in many PvP builds because it’s so solid. While many mythics force you to choose either offense or defensive stats, this mythic gives you both. It isn’t quite as strong as a mythic coming later, earning the Markyn Ring of Majesty 4th on our best 10 mythics in the ESO list.

Gain a persistent stack of Escalating Fete every 2 seconds you are in combat, up to 30 stacks max. Each stack of Escalating Fete increases your Maximum Stamina, Health, and Magicka by 88. You lose a stack of Escalating Fete every 4 seconds you are out of combat.

Death Dealer’s Fete offers 2640 stamina, magicka, and health when you’re at full stacks, and it’s super easy to keep it at max stats in PvP. There’s a reason why you can run this mythic in so many different builds. Max stacks give almost 8,000 additional stats, more than every armor enchant combined if you ran all tri-stat glyphs.

Its versatility and the sheer amount of builds that use this mythic is why it earns a second place on the best 10 mythics you should use in the ESO list. You could even run this as a tank in certain PvE content, especially resource-intensive fights, though it doesn’t see much play. Sure, it’s not the best at offensive or defensive capability, but it gives a lot of both, making it a well-rounded option.

1. Velothi Ur-Mage’s Amulet Best ESO Mythics

The Velothi Ur-Mage’s Amulet provides the following set bonuses in ESO:

(1 item) Adds 1650 Offensive Penetration, Increases your damage done to monsters by 15%, gains Minor Force at all times, increases your Critical Damage by 10%, and reduces your Light and Heavy Attack damage by 99%.

It’s difficult to understate how good Velothi is, so it tops our list of the best 10 mythics you should use in ESO. There’s a reason why almost every damage dealer runs this item, and it’s probably the best set-and-forget item in the game.

The permanent minor force is one of the major reasons why this myth is so good. Normally, you’d source minor force through Barbed Trap, but Barbed Trap isn’t as strong after Update 41. It’s still a great single-target DoT, but it’s no longer your source of minor force.

The reduction in light attack is strong for the same reason. While your skills more than makeup for the damage reduction, missing light attacks are less impactful to your DPS. It’s even better for that reason in movement-heavy fights, where you won’t be hitting Barbed Trap consistently for your minor force.
