Sadly it’s not the first time the Hogwarts Legacy release date was delayed, but this time only PS4 and Xbox One will need to wait a little longer.
Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world introduced in the Harry Potter books. It’s quite easily one of the 2023 most highly-anticipated games. The game takes place at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1800s. Players can create their own Wizard or Witch, explore the magical open world, attend classes, fly on magical creatures, fight, cast spells, make potions, and much more!
Hogwarts Legacy has released on February 10th 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. For the past weeks, players worldwide can enjoy and play the engaging story of the new RPG. The game has received great reviews and was sold millions of copies. But not all players can enjoy this fantastic open-world game yet.
Hogwarts Legacy Console’s Release Date is Delayed!
Today on the official Hogwarts Legacy discord, Avalanche Software Studio developers wrote:
We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the response to Hogwarts Legacy from fans around the globe. The team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience on all platforms and we need more time to do this.

As a result, the Hogwarts Legacy will launch for PS4 and Xbox One on May 5th, 2023. The game is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4 and Xbox.
It’s not the first time Hogwarts Legacy was delayed. Developers officially announced the game on September 2020 and set it to launch in 2021, but developers pushed it back. Also, Nintendo Switch players are still waiting to play Hogwarts Legacy, with the release date set for July 25th 2023.
Most of the players that already have access to the game finished their epic adventures in Hogwarts legacy. Additionally, we can read about future DLC speculations all over the internet and news. Let’s hope it’s the last delay for PS4 and Xbox One platforms, and its players will be able to experience Hogwarts Legacy soon.
