We get to accomplish goals in Assassin’s Creed Shadows that are based on actual places and traditional practices in Japan. Visiting each of the twenty-two Kuji-Kiri meditation sites spread throughout the game’s nine zones is one of these goals. You will uncover a fundamental memory of her past and get wisdom points after finishing each Kuji-kiri.

This is one of the five other Kuji-kiri available in the region of Izumi Settsu. We shall examine how to accomplish the Eboshigata Hachiman Shrine Kuji-Kiri target in this guide. Completing any four Kuji-Kiri is essential for continuing to progress within the game.

For an easier experience, you also have the option to have the game automatically press the prompted buttons for you. To activate this, go to the pause menu > Options. From here, click on QuickTime events and change it to auto.

The only character capable of completing this side quest is Naoe, for which she must go to the designated locations and sit there in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The term “kuji-kiri” means “nine symbolic cuts”. A set of nine hand movements is used in this traditional Japanese technique. A particular collection of mantras also accompany it. The primary goal of this ritual is to positively affect the practitioner’s mental and spiritual well-being.

The background for this Kuji-Kiri is a pretty view of the shrine. It especially looks spectacular during the night with the lanterns glowing, contrasting well with the moonlit sky.

Naoe will take a seat, close her eyes, and start meditating after pressing the indicated button to start the Eboshigata Hachiman Shrine Kuji-Kiri quest. Within four transparent white circles, four buttons will show up on the screen. Inside each circle, the white outline will get narrower. You will need to tap the button once the outline meets the circle. You can go on to the next button if you time it correctly.

The prompts get harder as the tempo increases with each successful turn. When prompted, continue pressing the buttons. You are required to memorise the four buttons as the prompts appear in a clockwise motion. The screen starts growing white, eventually fading out the buttons. Through what you have memorised, you are required to press the right buttons. The journey concludes with Naoe meditating on a recollection from her past after a few rotations.
