In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Naoe will find several quests while out exploring the world. One of these quests involves a father, named Kennyo, trying to save his son Kyonyo from a murderous group of bounty hunters. Dubbed ‘The Hunters of Kyonyo,’ this quest takes place in various stages, where Naoe will need to track down five assassination targets. One of these targets is a man named Inumaru.

In this guide, we’ll explain how you can find Inumaru in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and the best tactics to use when fighting this foe.

How To Find Inumaru in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Once you get the quest from Kennyo, you’ll head out to investigate the ambush site where the bounty hunters attacked Kyonyo. There, you’ll confirm the plot against Kyonyo, which will unlock the first target, Inumaru. Also known as the Ambusher, he is somewhere in the Kii region. It is right beside the ambush site, so you won’t need to travel far. Simply walk around Yunomine Onsen and mark the enemies. You can also use the roofs of the houses to get inside unnoticed.

Soon, you’ll hear Inumaru’s voice as he explains how he almost captured Kyonyo but failed. Simply use the observe mechanic to locate him and mark him. The game will also identify him as the target.

How To Defeat Inumaru in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Inumaru is in a well-guarded area, so you’ll do better to approach the fight stealthily at first. Otherwise, you will have multiple enemies converge on your position before you can even reach the target. Inumaru is equipped with a katana, and he has no armor for protection. Beware of the red glowing strikes from Inumaru and try to dodge these at the very last moment. This will slow down time for him, as you can continue with a barrage of attacks. Weapons with poison or bleed damage can be great for this fight, as they will drain the target’s health consistently, even when you can’t get through his defense every time.

After killing Inumaru, you’ll get an epic katana named Mending Bond. You will also acquire an engraving that increases armor piercing with ability attacks and a quest item.
