You will encounter these troublemakers in the Kurai Eikyou side quest, where you will receive the objective of eliminating them. Where To Find the Messenger in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In the Kurai Eikyou quest in AC Shadows, you will receive the following intel about the Messenger:

• He is a monk traveling in Yamato
• He meditates in temples at night
• He operates in Nara Heartland

To find the Messenger, navigate to the Nara Heartlands of the Yamato region. The exact location would be south of the Kofukuji temple. Once there, you will spot the Messenger talking to a trader in the open area or meditating at the Kofukuji temple at night.

How To Defeat the Messenger in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The strategy to defeat the messenger will depend on your location of encounter with the Messenger. Here are the details:

• At the temple: The best strategy would be sneaking unnoticed. For this, jump from the fence to hide in the bushes. Silently eliminate the approaching guard. Afterward, move towards the rock where the Messenger is meditating. The first blow would be the deciding factor, so use your best move for the initial damage. The messenger will attack you with a spear, a short-range weapon. Thus, attack him with Naoe’s Kusarigama to dodge the Messenger’s blows.
• In the open field: Crouch and sneak towards the Messenger. Once you are behind him, the best way to eliminate him is to make him fall and then attack with Naoe’s Tanto.
