How To Get a Kosode for the Tea Ceremony in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the Dress for Success quest requires you to acquire a Kosode for Imai Sokyu’s Tea Ceremony.

During the Dress for Success quest, you need to acquire specific clothing as Naoe for a ceremony. After you find the tea master Imai Sokyu, you should get a Kosode to impress him during his Tea Ceremony to find the Golden Teppo.

While the quest tasks you with acquiring a Kosode, the descriptions are vague and not explanatory, leaving you to find the clothing on your own—unless you get a little guidance. Where To Acquire a Kosode During Dress for Success in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

To acquire the Kosode, you should complete a series of actions, including interacting with a merchant and fighting off several pirates aboard a ship.

Interact With the Merchant

Find the female merchant outside a shop at the south end of the port in Sakai, south of the Money Changer District. The building is located across the water and is hard to miss. Talk to her to learn about her stolen fabric, and she asks you to retrieve the silk from the pirate ship.

Retrieve the Silks From the Ship

The silk can be found on the far western ship. You can reach it using the boats at the shore. Once on board, you can either defeat the pirates or sneak past them to loot the merchant’s stolen silk. After retrieving it, head back to the merchant one last time.

Acquiring a Kosode

Interact with the merchant again to receive a Kosode for Imai Sokyu’s Tea Ceremony. However, you will receive two options—a red Chinese silk Kosode or a black Portuguese silk Kosode. While your choice doesn’t have a lasting impact, it does slightly affect how the characters respond for the remainder of the quest. And that’s how you get a Kosode during the Dress for Success quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
