Assassin’s Creed Shadows encourages you to go out and explore the world in search of better armor and weapons. However, the Apprentice Assassin Outfit is an item you’d want to get your hands on for more than its perks and stats.

For veteran players of the Assassin’s Creed series, this particular armor might even be nostalgic. The white outfit has red highlights, making it a perfect callback to Ezio and Altair, the first two protagonists in the series. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can get your hands on the Apprentice Assassin Outfit in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’ll also delve into the perks associated with this outfit.

How To Unlock the Apprentice Assassin Outfit in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

You need to meet a few conditions to unlock the outfit. The first one is that you must have progressed far enough into the game’s story where you have completed the first two personal missions for Yasuke. These missions are ‘An Education’ and ‘Lady of Whispers.’ Next, you’ll also want to check off the first two personal quests for Naoe, dubbed ‘Before the Fall’ and ‘Wolves and Foxes.’ Keep in mind that the second personal mission for Naoe only appears after you complete Yasuke’s first two quests we mentioned earlier.

Completing these missions will unlock the Secrets of the Blade quest. In this mission, you’ll have to explore a Tomb of the Ancients. This is in the southwestern corner of Izumi Settsu, just above the Izumi Coast region. There’s a Kofun here that you may have explored already. However, now, you can enter a secret door, marked with the Assassin crest, to retrieve the Apprentice Assassin Outfit, including the Hood and the Gear.

How To Use the Apprentice Assassin Outfit in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

The first thing to note here is that the Apprentice Assassin Outfit isn’t a legendary item. Instead, it’s an epic-tier outfit. The Apprentice Assassin Gear comes with an engraving that restores 1% of your HP upon hitting an enemy. This can prove useful when you’re involved in hairy fights and you run out of healing rations.

On the other hand, the Apprentice Assassin Hood has an engraving that will allow Naoe to remove an additional health segment when performing assassinations. This can be handy when trying to stealth takedown certain enemies that are of a higher level, who usually don’t die outright from your hidden blade attack.

Keep in mind that you can engrave an additional perk in both the hood and the gear by visiting the blacksmith in your Hideout. Doing so will allow you to unlock more perks when equipping this outfit on Naoe.
