Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers a massive selection of weapons, all faithfully recreated to represent the time period, but more importantly, to provide players with variety in combat. The Kusarigama is one of the more fun weapon types in the game. Split into a chain and a sickle, the Kusarigama sees you swinging around the chain for longer-ranged attacks while using the sickle to close in for the finishing blow. The weapon is an absolute joy to use, and if you’re someone using it, you absolutely need the Death Whisperer Kusarigama. 

The Death Whisperer is a legendary Kusarigama that comes with impressive base stats, which is expected of any legendary weapon. The real hook, however, is the +200 percent damage boost upon enemy collisions. This boost in damage makes the Death Whisperer a great crowd-control weapon, greatly increasing your odds of surviving ambushes.

Where To Find the Death Whisperer Kusarigama

The Death Whisperer Kusarigama is found as part of the Heads Will Roll quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This quest is part of the Onryo line of quests in the game and begins with you talking to Kyonko in Amagasaki after a short Animus leap. Kyonko rallies you to kill Wada Koretake, and you aid him in marching to Amagasaki Castle. 

After a long cutscene, the siege of Amagasaki Castle kicks off. You spawn in on the eastern end of the castle and need to kill the snipers. Walk around and about the gate perimeter and clear out the snipers stationed near the vantage points overlooking the gate. Once you have done so, your objective will update to “assassinate Wada Koretake.”

Pass through the gate and continue north across the castle, and you will find Koretake in the courtyard in the keep. There are guards around him, so kill them off to minimize the risk of approach. Kill Koretake to complete the quest, after which you will obtain the Death Whisperer weapon.
