Giantbreaker

In Baldur’s Gate 3, The Giantbreaker is a heavy crossbow purchasable for Brem, the vendor in the early stages of Act 1. This weapon’s special bonus, Heavy Hitter, has the ability to send your target Reeling for 2 turns. Reeling means your enemy will need to recover after a strong hit from the Giantbreaker. They get a -1 penalty on their Attack Rolls for each turn still affected by it. In other words, it makes it harder for your foes to hit you with this status effect.

Classes that will benefit from it are Ranger, Barbarian, Fighter, or Paladin classes. You can equip it to your character’s main hand weapon slot in the inventory, providing additional bonuses and buffs. The user needs Martial Weapon proficiency or suffers penalties while wearing the weapon. You can equip it on any class, companion, or character that has Martial Weapon proficiency.
