Learn where you can find Poison Sacks in Enshrouded, a hard to find resource for crafting and upgrading items.
How to Get Poison Sack in Enshrouded
To get Poison Sack in Enshrouded you will need to have access to the Revelwood area. Once you have access to the region the best locations to farm poison sacks can be found south and west of the Revelwood Ancient Spire. In order to access this region, you will need to Strengthen your Flame Altar to Level 3.
Take the time to complete the Spire if you haven’t already. That will unlock an easy fast travel point that you can use to farm poison sacks. Then, from the spire you can use your glider to head southwest. The first location is near an Ancient Obilisek. There will be some woods and muddy areas where you should find one of the bright orange spitting flowers.
Secondly, there is another location not to far to the south. At the Withered Encampment there is a narrow pass between two large hills. A stockade has been built at the narrowest point, but there are no humanoid enemies around. Instead, you’ll find a group of about three of these poison flowers waiting to ambush anyone who tries to pass through.
Finally, another way to get poison sack in Enshrouded is from the large mushroom shaped, brown creatures without a visible face. They have a green poison sack on their back which you can harvest if you kill them. In contrast to other native wildlife, these things will run from you at first. You will need to attack at range or have enough stamina to get close.
However, once you land an attack these things will turn and fight. They try to get in close and then release a cloud of poison. Keep your distance once they get aggressive.
What is Poison Sack, and what is it used for?
In Enshrouded you’ll use Poison Sack to upgrade your Arrows, as well the Acid Bite spells. For example, Copper Poison arrows and Poisoned Iron arrows are both upgrades from their base models. They don’t do more damage on their initial hit, but will cause a damage-over-time affect against Wildlife and Wild Beasts you may encounter.
Additionally, the Acid Bite and Eternal Acid Bite spells pack a powerful punch, especially against boss monsters. It’s possible that the spell is a bit overpowered and the developers might moderate it while still in Early Access. But for now, players should take advantage, and it’s a very strong reason to farm Poison Sack in Enshrouded.
To craft either Acid Bite or it’s Eternal upgrade you will need to have saved the Alchemist and found/crafted his Mortar, Alchemy Station and Laboratory. You’ll have to complete several of his personal quests to do so, and these won’t all be available until later in the game.
To craft the Acid Bite Spell you will need: 2 Poison Sack, 2 Ammonia Gland, 5 Goo and 20 Dirt
To craft the Eternal Acid Bite Spell you will need: 20 Glass, 10 Charcoal, 30 Sulfur, 20 Ammonia Gland and 20 Poison Sack
