But potions are a true force in their own regard. In this article, we will look at the Potion of Healing and its uses.
The potion, as the name suggests, acts as a tool to save us in critical situations with a single gulp. It heals our health and helps us get back to the action almost instantaneously. While the potion acts as a healing agent for us, it has the exact opposite reaction on undead mobs like zombies by harming them. It is funny considering that the potion of harming can heal these undead mobs. Now, let’s look at how we can craft ourselves some healing potion.
How To Craft a Potion of Healing in Minecraft?
To brew a potion, different equipment is required than the traditional crafting table. All potions are brewed inside a brewing stand. The ingredients required are three awkward potions, blaze powder, and a nether wart. Also, keep some glow dust with you. While these ingredients stay constant amongst all potions, there is an ingredient that differs in each, giving them their unique properties and effects. For the potion, a glistering melon slice is the core ingredient.
- To begin the process, first set the brewing stand and place the awkward potions in the lower three boxes.
- Now, add the blazing powder to the box on the top left. Right above the awkward potions, place the glistering melon.
- Once all are placed, you will notice the arrow on the right side loading downwards. This indicates that the potions are brewing.
- Once done, you will see the three bottles turn pink in colour. Now place a glowing dust in the top empty box again and wait. This will give you an enhanced version of the potion, turning it into the Potion of Healing II.
How Does the Potion of Healing Work?
The normally created potion with just the glistering melon will give you the power to heal two heart bars of yours. By adding the extra gold dust to the brew, you now increase the number of hearts you can restore by two more. This proves useful, especially when in fights against tougher mobs.
The effects of the potion act immediately and not over the course of time. So, when in desperate need, you can blindly depend upon the potion to instantly recover your health in the nick of time. You also have the option of turning it into a splash potion, which you can use to help your allies. Do this by adding gunpowder while brewing the potion.
