While leveling, you will mainly use Expulsion and Void Walk for damage, then Orbit Barrier and Hypercube for survivability. Using three skills enhances your next, but you don’t want to run out of MP. Therefore, always keep enough to cast an Orbit Barrier when you are in trouble and need to relieve pressure. Ajax’s unique resource system allows him to enhance skills through Void Energy and skill usage. To maximize this, use mods that reduce cooldowns so you can frequently cast skills and build energy. On Ajax’s default UI, three lines in the yellow sections indicate 33% increments of Void Energy, corresponding to singularity levels. When you reach 100%, your skill bar turns blue, granting an enhanced ability.

By using Orbital Barrier to generate Void Energy, you can then cast Hyper Cube when enhanced. The Enhanced Barrier from Hyper Cube boosts Firearm ATK and Explosive ATK within a 4-meter radius. Ultimate Ajax has two variations of skills: the base version and the enhanced version. Build up Void Energy by using your normal skills. Once Void Energy is full, your skills become enhanced with additional effects. For instance, both shield skills gain damage reflection. Managing Void Energy efficiently is crucial; mastering this aspect unlocks Ultimate Ajax’s full potential.

Shields: Ultimate Ajax’s main strength lies in deploying shields and barriers. These shields provide cover for yourself and your allies, and when enhanced, they can reflect damage back at attackers. Ajax has two different shields: the basic Orbit Barrier, a rectangular shield wall that blocks damage from enemies on the other side, and the Hypercube shield, a massive dome that allows allies to move in and out for safety.

The biggest change and update to Ultimate Ajax during Season One is the addition of Invasions and Inversion Reinforcement. While highly survivable, Ultimate Ajax is just a bit too slow to be the best choice for Invasion’s high-speed gameplay. Players are rewarded for completion time and materials used for the newest Descendant Hailey. What you should know is to work towards unlocking the Inversion and completing Invasions to progress this new piece of equipment.

Ultimate Ajax Story in the First Descendant

The Ultimate Descendant Project refers to a plan in which either the Ancestors’ technology and equipment found throughout Ingris, or their special Arche genes, are refined to suit the characteristics of active Descendants, then applied to them. The ultimate goal being to enhance all Descendants to reflect the Ancestors, the powerful predecessors of humanity.

Ajax responded enthusiastically to this Ultimate Project. Originally, the battlesuit used by Ajax was created for Void exploration, but performance-wise, it’s true it did not meet expectations. Therefore, in anticipation of the inevitable Void exploration, Ajax needed a measure of protection which could operate in a stable manner, even in uncharted environments. He had high expectations that the Ultimate equipment would be the breakthrough he had been searching for.

As if to answer Ajax’s convictions, the Ultimate equipment named “Belief” completely exceeded the Liberated Guardian’s expectations. Forged with the Ancestors’ technology, the enhanced Kuiper battlesuit covered the wearer like an impregnable fortress. Despite its bulk, the Arche reactive coil equipped on each part would pick up the user’s Arche signals, supporting movement, and even ensuring outstanding mobility.
