Best Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion Build Guide in The First Descendant
The Nazeistra’s Devotion is an Ultimate weapon in The First Descendant, and it’s an excellent Ultimate weapon you can craft early on in the game. Its special ability primarily benefits support characters such as Jayber or Yujin because it can restore shields to allies. However, that doesn’t mean it can’t be a good backup weapon for other characters like Bunny while you wait to get the Tamer.
All Nazeistra’s Devotion features in The First Descendant:
- Weapon Type: Hand Cannon
- Special Ability: Fanaticism
- On hitting an enemy’s Weak Point, inflicts the unique ability Devotion Mark on the target enemy. On hitting an ally, that ally’s shield is restored at the cost of your MP. If your current MP is less than the MP cost, this effect is not triggered.
- Pros: Reduces opponent’s defense, and can boost an ally’s shield.
- Cons: The increase to an ally’s shield comes at a cost to your character’s MP.
- Best Characters: Jayber, Yujin

How to Get Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion in The First Descendant
The Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion will require you to reach Mastery Rank Level 1 before you can craft it with Magister Anais in Albion. Additionally, once you collect all of the needed materials you will have to pay a 100,000 credit/gold fee. Finally, it will take 4 hours of research time for the Nazeistra’s Devotion to be completed.
To Craft Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion you will need the following materials:
- 1 Nazeistra’s Devotion Polymer Synctium – Vespers, Lost Supply Depot, Mossy Colossus Mission
- 1 Nazeistra’s Devotion Synthetic Fiber – Vespers, Lost Supply Depot, Sepulcher Dungeon
- 1 Nazeistra’s Devotion Nano Tube – Vespers, Moonlight Lake, Floodplain Battlefield Mission
- 1 Nazeistra’s Devotion Blueprint – Vespers, Timberfall, Ancient Giant Tree Mission
To find all of the materials for crafting the Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion you will need to run various missions in the Vespers zone. This will be the third zone in the game, and the very first time you run these missions listed above you will have a 100% chance of receiving the materials upon completion.
However, these materials will only be available to collect just once. To craft additional Nazeistra’s Devotion, you will have to collect lesser materials to craft the four advanced materials. Check out the Acquisition Info at the Research Institute or from the Social screen to discover the multiple locations where you can find these.
Best Modules for Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion in The First Descendant
Fire Rate UP, Rifle Reinforcement, and Sharpshooter are the best weapon mods for the Nazeistra’s Devotion. Anything that increases rate of fire, Firearm ATK, critical rate, and critical damage are the best mods. Moreover, you will be aiming at weak points so consider Weak Point mods as well to help optimizing your special bonus. Below are the best weapons mods for the Nazeistra’s Devotion:
- Fire Rate UP – Fire Rate +6%
- Sharpshooter – Increase Firearm ATK and Critical Hit Rate
- Marksman – Increases Firearm Critical Hit Rate and ATK
- Weak Point Control – Increases Weak Point Damage and Firearm Critical Hit Rate
- Rifling Reinforcement – Firearm ATK +12%
- Concentration Priority – Increases Firearm Critical Hit Damage and reduces Reload Time
- Concentrate Support Ammo – Increases Rounds per Magazine and Firearm Critical Hit Damage
- Weak Point Sight – Increases Weak Point Damage
Slot | Module |
---|---|
1 (First Row) | Fire Rate UP |
2 | Sharpshooter |
3 | Marksman |
4 | Weak Point Control |
5 | (empty) |
6 (Second Row) | Rifling Reinforcement |
7 | Concentration Priority |
8 | Concentrate Support Ammo |
9 | Weak Point Sight |
10 | (empty) |
When upgrading weapon mods, be aware there is an increased cost and a max module capacity of 80. The material needed is Energy Activators, and you will get one of these after playing through the end of the campaign, or you can craft them with Anais. Therefore, you want to balance increasing mods and not attempt to max out every one. A balanced approach to firearm ATK, critical chance, and critical damage is the best (+3 or so to each).
Best Weapon Stats for Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion in The First Descendant
Here are the best weapon stats for Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion in The First Descendant:
- Firearm Critical Hit Rate
- Firearm Critical Hit Damage
- Weak Point Damage
- Firearm ATK
In the First Descendant, weapon stats are randomly generated for all weapons when they are picked up as loot or picked up after crafting. You can change (or re-roll) them through the Weapon Readjustment system. Each weapon has four random traits or stats that can be rerolled to find the ideal trait. These regenerated traits are also random and so is their quality. Therefore, expect to spend a lot of materials to min-max the perfect roll.
The above list is a general build template and should be adjusted according to your build and preferred content. If you have the space allowed in your Module Capacity, it might be worth using a spot for an elemental enhancement mod. These will add Chill, Fire, Electric, or Toxic ATK and you can switch the type of mod out depending on the weakness of the Colossus you are about to face.
How to Upgrade Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion
The First Descendant provides several different avenues for upgrading and improving your weapons by using their repair station Workbench. The Workbench is located in the same general area as Anais and weapons seller Deslin on the west side of Albion.
Weapon Transmission
Each time you craft an Ultimate weapon in The First Descendant, after collecting it from Anais you will find that it is a low Level 1 firearm. However, you can easily bring it up to your current weapon level by using the Weapon Transmission mechanic at the Workbench.
Finally, you will need to reach Mastery Rank 3.
To level up Nazeistra’s Devotion in The First Descendant you will need:
- Precision Phase Exchanger
- 250 Liquid Metal
- 50,000 credits/gold
- 10:00 of research time
To get Superalloy and Liquid Metal in the First Descendant you will need to dismantle many weapons you don’t want by junking them. This breaks down the weapon into crafting materials you can use to make other items. Consequently, we highly recommend breaking down all of your excess weapons instead of selling them. Credits are easier to earn just by playing the game and completing missions.
Weapon Readjustment
In The First Descendant, the Weapon Readjustment mechanic allows you to use the Workbench to re-roll your weapon stats. Moreover, you can re-roll all of your stats at once, or lock individual stats you like and only re-roll the ones you want to change.
Finally, you will need to reach Master Rank 4 to unlock Weapon Readjustment at the Workbench.
To change Nazeistra’s Devotion stats in The First Descendant you will need:
- Fine Adjustment Control Axis
- 200 Liquid Metal
- 30,000 credits/gold
- 1:00:00 of research time
Enhance Unique Ability
Each Ultimate weapon in The First Descendant comes with a unique ability that gives it a powerful effect and you can enhance the power of these abilities. This is another mechanic that you will use at the repair station Workbench, and it unlocks at Mastery Rank 5.
However, unlike Weapon Transmission and Weapon Readjustment there is no unique crafting material you will need to create and use. To enhance the unique ability of Nazeistra’s Devotion, you will have to craft a duplicate. Then, take that Level 1 duplicate to the Workbench and sacrifice it to upgrade Nazeistra’s Devotion ability to a stronger version.
How To Use Ultimate Nazeistra’s Devotion
The best way to use the Nazeistra’s Devotion is to debuff enemies’ DEF stats by hitting weak points. The special bonus can restore shields to allies, but it requires MP resources to restore shields over time. It’s simply not worth lowering your damage to aid an ally’s shield unless it randomly takes place. Therefore, you should use the Nazistra’s Devotion as a secondary weapon when fighting Void Intercept battles and your primary ammunition is depleted. Moreover, carry a backup sniper rifle for long range, and use the Tamer Machine Gun as your primary weapon if possible.
In The First Descendant, the Nazeistra’s Devotion is a weapon that requires a lot of player skill to get the most out of it. You want to be really good at hitting an enemy’s weak points, which increases your DPS and triggers the special ability Fanaticism. The Devotion Mark inflicted on the enemy reduces their DEF by 30%.
Moreover, support characters can uniquely use this weapon to give their allies additional protection. If you hit an ally with Nazeistra’s Devotion, then Fanaticism will use your MP to restore that ally’s shield. This can be a huge help in more difficult fights. However, using it will require careful resource management and strategic use of your weapon.
