The new Tears of the Kingdom game offers many new complex abilities, including Ascend power that will help Link explore the open world of Hyrule with ease. This short guide explains Ascend Ability and how you can utilise it.
Ascend Ability in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
In The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Ascend ability allows Link to reach higher platforms or floors, lifting him even through ceilings and roofs. Probably the only limitation is it requires a space and flat or accessible surface above Link to rise up and stand to it.
This new power is similar to Zora Armor, which helps Link travel up the waterfalls in the previs game. However, Ascend power is more complex and far more practical and can pass through even a thick rock formation above Link.
In the official gameplay, we saw producer Eiji Aonuma use it to raise the top shrine quickly. Nextly he entered the cave and passed through the ceiling to rich the grassy field on the top of it. Developer didn’t reveal how far you can travel with Ascend. Yet he mentioned that there are many ways to get to high-sky islands hanging between the clouds. Presumably, it’s possible that one of the methods includes Ascend power.
