Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers plenty of open-world content, one of them being clearing castles and claiming the loot from hidden chests inside. Specifically, you’ll need to slay the Samurai Daisho or elite enemies in each of the castles. Once you’ve killed all of the Daishos, you will be able to claim the legendary rewards. However, finding the Samurai Daisho in some of the sprawling castles in the game can be difficult. In this guide, we’ll detail the Samurai Daisho locations inside the Hanazono Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’ll also explore all the possible rewards you can earn from completing this particular castle.

Samurai Daisho Locations for Hanazono Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Located to the east of the Kamigomo Shrine in the Genbu Highlands, Hanazono Castle is home to 2 Samurai Daishos. This location is unique because unlike other castles that have a keep, this area is actually a ruin of the castle. This impacts how you can claim the treasure inside the Legendary Chest within Hanazono Castle.

Infiltration is simple with Naoe. You can climb up the walls of the castle because there isn’t a moat surrounding it. We suggest scaling the wall just left of the front entrance of the castle. As soon as you enter, use the observe mechanic to mark enemies. Keep a lookout for enemies with a helmet icon above their health bars. These are the Samurai Daishos that you’ll need to kill here. Here are their locations.

• Samurai Daisho 1: The first Daiso patrols the northeastern area of the castle, which only has one other guard immediately next to him.
• Samurai Daisho 2: Head to the southeast corner of the castle map until you reach the keep ruins.

All Rewards for Completing Hanazono Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Unlike other castles where you need to kill the Samurai Daishos before entering the castle keep, Hanazono Castle has a Samurai Daisho guarding the Legendary Chest. After killing the Samurai Daisho 2, search the same room to find the chest. Here are all the rewards you unlock after finishing the Hanazono Castle.

• Legendary Chest: Protector’s Helmet for Yasuke. This gear is accompanied by a special perk that will enable Yasuke to damage enemies by simply parrying their attacks.
• 2x Mastery Points
• 3000 XP
