Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Lost Honor Main Quest Walkthrough

Help Yasuke and Naoe enter Yamazaki Castle and reunite Ise Sadatame with his brother Ise Sadaoki in the Lost Honor main quest.

The Lost Honor main quest is located near the Byodin Temple. The arrogant son-in-law of Ise Sadaoki, Akechi Mitsuhide, assisted in betraying his lord, Oda Nobunaga. He was also responsible for poisoning his brother to take control of the Ise clan.

After finishing the main quest, Rising Tide, you unlock Lost Honor. This is located in the Yamashiro region, the southernmost house of Byodin Temple.

Return to Ise Sadatame in Assassin’s Creed Shadow

Once near the location, make your way toward the blue blip as guided by the compass at the top of your screen. In the cutscene, we have a brief conversation with Ise Sadatame. After the cutscene ends, we are prompted with two choices. Choose the “Let’s go” option to begin the mission.

Yasuke joins in for the next cutscene. Ise Sadatame explains the plan to execute the mission most effectively. After the cutscene, we begin the mission as Yasuke.

Kill The Castle Guard

The first task of the Lost Honor mission tasks Yasuke with clearing the way for Ise Sadatame to follow. We begin the mission at the entrance of the gates of Yamazaki Castle, where two guards are ready to charge at us. When approaching the guard, you are prompted with two choices by the guard asking you to leave. The choices are either to comply with the guard or refuse.

Choose either and begin the fight. Defeat them with swift strikes and proceed forward. One more guard awaits you inside to the left. Kill him quickly and break through the wooden gate with your brute strength.

Descend the flight of stairs and kill the next two guards in your path, followed by three more guards down the next stairs. A bigger guard will come next with considerably more health. After killing him, you can continue to move forward. There is one more enemy on your path; after killing him, a cutscene triggers.

Unlock the Inner Gate

Post the cutscene, you switch to Naoe. Your task at hand is to unlock the gate from the inside for the others to be able to enter. Naoe begins her quest from atop a roof. Jump across to the next roof, where you will find a small opening through the wall to enter the castle.

Naoe makes a statement, suggesting that you can play this part of this mission in stealth. Stealthily kill the first enemy right in front of you and climb on top of the house to your left. Make your way to the left and jump across the corner wall at the extreme left. Run forward and scale the higher wall.

Keep making your way forward as quietly as possible. If stealthy enough, you would not be required to face the next wave of enemies. Once you reach the end, you have an option to enter through the entrance on your left. Instead, throw your grapple hook and climb the tower right above you. The enemies may spot you making your way past this point. Engage in battle and kill the enemies on the bridge.

Once you kill them, move forward through the small house. Kill the next set of enemies on your path. Naoe states that this is the gate she has to enter. Now make your way up the flight of stairs. Climb across the wall from either side of the gate. If stealthy enough, you can sneak past the enemy at the gate and unlock the gate from the inside.

Escort Ise Sadatame

You switch back to Yasuke as you lead Ise Sadatame inside the castle. Break through the first gates in your path. There would be an immediate wave of four enemies; slice your way through them. After that, run up the stairs to your right.

Ise will follow slowly, giving you enough time to kill the next wave of enemies. Once you finish them, run up the stairs to your left. Ise Sadatame would be most probably waiting up there for you. Now open the unlocked door. A cutscene will trigger where Naoe jumps to the other side, assisting Yasuke in opening the gate.

Once inside, Ise Sadatame runs forward to meet his brother Ise Sadaoki. There is a brief conversation between the two. A brief explosion later, Gennojo slices at Ise Sadatame, dropping him to the floor. He then challenges the brother. Gennojo escapes, diverting the attention of Ise Sadaoki towards us.

Assassinate Ise Sadaoki

We get a choice to play the next fight either as Yasuke or Naoe. The final fight of the mission begins. We have to first defeat three guards while the brother watches from the background. He will often try to attack you when you least expect it. After defeating the guards, start attacking Ise Sadaoki. He will be having two stages of health. Once you completely drain out the yellow bar, the white bar will start depleting.

The last cutscene of the Lost Honor main quest plays. Gennojo returns in the cutscene. As Naoe, you get to talk with him before being prompted with a choice of conversation. You can choose a path of potential romance by selecting “You might be right.”
