“A Lady Never Tells” in Avowed is a side quest you find in Paradis. This quest sees you aiding the Mermaid’s Den courtesans as they’re bullied by an increasingly corrupt Sparrowhawk force. Tired of the bullying and harassment, the courtesans turn to you for help, and it is now up to you to help them retrieve some stolen goods.
This side mission dives deep into the corruption tearing through Paradis’ fabric, letting you interact with all the major players involved. While intriguing, the quest is by no means easy, as it pits you against the Sparrowhawks, who are a formidable unit. The quest also throws several choices at you, which can lead to confusion. A Lady Never Tells Mission Walkthrough
Starting the Quest
You begin the quest by speaking to the “Concerned Courtesan” near the Pearl District in Paradis City. The lady is being troubled by two Sparrowhawks, who then leave her. When you talk to her, she mentions the issues between the Mermaid’s Den and the Sparrowhawks, asking you to help Giuliana. Giuliana is in the Mermaid’s Den.
Once the conversation is over, turn back and take the staircase right behind you to head to the Mermaid’s Den. Speak to Giuliana inside, and she will tell you that she was awaiting supplies, which were then stolen by the Sparrowhawks. Agree to help her, and she will ask you to look for the supplies in a warehouse near the docks.
Finding the Supplies
Once you’ve spoken to Giuliana, fast travel to the Claviger’s Landing beacon on the southwestern corner of the city. From the fast travel point, walk straight and take the first left to meet Jago the Sea Wolf. You can either talk to Jago or sneak around and use three lockpicks to enter the warehouse.
If you choose to talk to Jago, confront him about the stolen shipment, and he will get aggressive. The conversation can then boil down to either cutting a deal or attacking him. We recommend attacking him, as there is no penalty for doing so. Attack him and kill him to obtain the warehouse key. Find Giuliana’s shipment inside the warehouse, and return to Giuliana to complete the quest.
