Bethesda Reveals Two new companions in ESO Necrom Chapter

During today’s Official Global Livestream, Bethesda Reveals Two new companions in ESO Necrom Chapter! The Reduard wields the power of a new class Arcanist and the Argonian companion is a Warden.

Elder Scrolls Online Chapters are big expansions released yearly. They usually include a new zone new separate story line and one or more new game features. This year 2023 Bethesda has revealed that the new chapter is called Necrom and surprised the community with the new Arcanist class and two companions.

What are companions?

Companions are non-player characters who can aid you on your adventures throughout Tamriel. Once called to your side, these stalwart allies will assist you in combat.

Fighting alongside your Companion will improve their effectiveness and taking actions they approve of will build rapport. As you earn their trust and strengthen your bonds of fellowship, your Companion may share personal quests with you. You may also give them Companion-specific gear and customize them in a wide variety of ways, including setting their abilities, mounts, costumes, outfits, and more.

To unlock specific companions you need to own the Chapters where they were introduced.

Azandar Al-Cybiades is an older Redguard Arcanist, who becomes a little of a cross between a father figure and an eccentric professor mentor figure to the player character. Players will quickly discover that he has a hyper focus on his endless pursuit of knowledge – is it possible that he has some personal connection to the deadric prince Hermaeus Mora?

Sharp-As-Night is a reserved Argonian Warden who makes his way in the world as something of a mercenary. Originally from the Black Marsh, for mysterious reasons his past is lost to him and he cannot return. He instead faces forward, seeking to discover who he is, though so far he has not come to any satisfactory conclusion. The player will have to be patient in order to draw him out, as he is likely the least chatty of all the known companions so far.

Like other companions before them, each of these individuals has their own personality, abilities, and story which you can unlock through side quests.
