Also, Solar Titan has access to multiple sources of healing and restoration to heal yourself or your teammates. Lastly, it has potent abilities and fast regeneration to allow constant ability uptimes.

However, Bungie has decided to finally bring the subclass down slightly by nerfing its damage and main survivability tool, Banner of War. These nerfs hurt the potential of the Strand Titan and limit its ability to perform as it previously did. It’s still a potent weapon when used well. However, it’s not nearly as strong as it was before.
Strand Titan relies on its melees and tangles to provide, given it Woven Mail damage reduction and Banner of War healing. These two combined give the Strand Titan an immense amount of survivability with very little setup. Pairing this with a grenade and super that can suspend enemies in the air allowing you to easily kill them, Strand Titan leaves little to be desired.

Even with a brutal Well of Radiance Nerf, Warlocks have easy access to the highest healing buff in the game, Restoration (x2). While other classes can easily maintain the base level of Restoration, Warlocks gain an additional level due to their Touch of Flame Aspect. This provides more healing per second, and with Pheonix Dive for burst healing, you will be incredibly hard to kill, whether in your Well of Radiance or roaming around dealing damage.

Our Sunspots generated by the Sol Invictus aspect provide much of our survivability and utility since it gives Restoration and ability regeneration while we have the buff or are standing in a Sunspot. Also, these Sunspots scorch and damage any enemies caught inside. Our Burning Maul super can be great for roaming to take out an entire room of enemies, or with Pyrogale Gauntlet’s exotic armor; it deals with massive burst damage to single targets.
