If you pre-ordered Dragon’s Dogma 2 before the launch of the game, then you should be able to claim some additional items as you start to play. This helpful guide will tell you the exact steps you need to take in order to redeem your purchases in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
How to Get Pre-Order Bonuses in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To unlock your pre-order bonuses in Dragon’s Dogma 2 all you have to do is make your way to the first Borderwatch Encampment and speak to the innkeeper. You will reach this location very early on in the game, as it is the first place you travel to after completing the tutorial area. After you escape from the mines, you should quickly meet up with a solider who will escort you to the encampment. While there will be a couple of small encounters with goblins along the way, you should be able to make your way there within the first hour of game time.
After learning a bit about Pawns and the Rift you will be free to move around. Seek out the inn, which in this small encampment it simply a larger tent close to the exit. Then, follow these steps to get your pre-order bonuses in Dragon’s Dogma 2:
- At the Inn in the Borderwatch Encampment interact with the innkeeper and choose to rest. This is part of the main quest and the first time should be free.
- After sleeping, speak to the innkeeper again. Choose to ‘Organize your Storage’.
- Select ‘Withdraw’
- All of the pre-order bonus items should now be in your inventory.
If you are farther along in the game and have missed doing this at the Encampment, you do NOT have to travel all of the way back to this specific inn. You can visit any Inn during your travels and follow the same steps to collect your items.
Pre-Order Items in Dragon’s Dogma 2
All players who pre-ordered the game before March 22, 2024 will receive the Superior Weapons Quartet. These include a sword and shield, bow, daggers, and staff, which are better versions of the weapons you start out with.
Additionally, if you pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game you will also receive a Ring of Assurance. Wearing it will slightly boost your Defense and Magick Defense.
Deluxe Edition Items in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Finally, following these same steps will also unlock all of the items included in the Deluxe Edition.
The following items are included in the Dragon’s Dogma II Deluxe Edition:
- Explorer’s Camping Kit – a special camping kit becomes available for purchase at shops in-game.
- 1500 Rift Crystals – can be used to hire pawns or purchase special items.
- Dragon’s Dogma Music and Sound Collection – enables the ability to change some in-game music and sound effects to those of the original Dragon’s Dogma.
- Wakestone – restore the dead to life.
- Art of Metamorphosis – Edit the appearance of the Arisen or of a pawn.
- Harypysnare Smoke Beacons – emits a scent enticing to harpies.
- Ambivalent Rift Incense – change your pawn’s inclination.
- Heartfelt Pendant – can be offered as a gift.
- Makeshift Gaol Key – key to the gaol.
