You made the perfect Arisen in the Character Creator demo, now discover how to import them into Dragon’s Dogma 2!
Before the official release of the game on March 22, 2024 the developers at Capcom released a Character Creator & Storage demo. Within it you could spend as much time as you wanted creating various ideas for your Arisen and Pawn characters! Now, will share the step by step instructions for importing your chosen character into the full version of the game.
How to Import Characters into Dragon’s Dogma 2
Importing your characters into the full release of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is as simple as choosing the blank slate character and the game will automatically ask if you wish to ‘use existing character data’. Two weeks prior to launch Capcom released a Character Creator & Storage demo for players to get a head start on creating their Arisen and Pawn.
However, the Character Creator demo gave you up to five slots for Arisen and Pawns each. Therefore, you could experiment and create more than one character. In Dragon’s Dogma 2, however, you can only have one save file, and therefore, one single Arisen and created Pawn. Before starting your new game, you will need to go into the Character Creator demo and ‘finalize’ the characters you wish to officially transfer over.
How to Import Your Arisen
Follow these steps to import the Arisen you made in the Character Creator & Storage demo:
- If you created more than one possible Arisen, you’ll need to make sure and choose exactly which one you want to carry over.
- Open the Character Creator demo, select the character you want and choose to finalize again. A pop-up should confirm that this is the character which will carry over to the full game. Do the same for both Arisen and Pawns.
- Start a new game in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
- When the game gets to the prisoners in the cell, select the hooded one with it’s back turned towards the screen.
- Friska will say ‘Ah! I thought I recognized you.” Reply ‘Yes.”
- A pop will ask “Use existing character data to create the Arisen?”
- Answer ‘Yes’.
- The Arisen you created and selected in the Character Creator demo will be automatically imported over.
- Confirm in order to proceed.
How to Import Your Pawn
Follow these steps to import the Pawn you made in the Character Creator & Storage demo:
- If you created more than one possible Pawn, you’ll need to make sure and choose exactly which one you want to carry over.
- Open the Character Creator demo, select the character you want and choose to finalize again. A pop-up should confirm that this is the character which will carry over to the full game. Do the same for both Arisen and Pawns.
- Start a new game in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
- Reach the Borderwatch Encampment. There, you will be first introduced to Riftstones.
- Interact with the Riftstone to choose your Pawn
- “Use existing character data to create your pawn?”
- Answer ‘Yes’.
- The Pawn you created and selected in the Character Creator demo will be automatically imported over.
- Confirm in order to proceed.
