Dune Awakening is currently hosting its weekend beta testing phase, which will last until May 12, 2025. If you are interested in seeing the game in its near-polished form, this is your chance. The beta version will feature Act 1 of the full game.
However, only a limited number of players will be able to join the beta testing phase. Considering how the game has already been delayed, this might be the final testing phase that players can join.

When Will the Dune Awakening Beta End?
The Dune Awakening Beta is set to last for four days, starting on May 9, 2025, and will end on May 12, 2025. Here is a quick rundown of the timings for certain time zones:
- North America: 5:59 PM EDT / 2:59 PM PDT
- South America: 6:59 PM BRT
- Europe: 11:59 PM CEST
- Asia: 5:59 CST / 6:59 JST
If you are curious about how long the content lasts in the beta phase, it offers around 20 to 25 hours of gameplay. This estimate assumes you take your time and fully explore all the mechanics and content.

Will There Be a Waiting Queue at the Server During the Beta?
Considering how the Dune Awakening Beta is invitation-only, there should be little to no wait times to play the game.
On top of testing the game, this beta phase will also test how Funcom’s servers handle the number of players in each session. Once you load up the game, it will send you to a 40-player server, which is referred to as a Sietch in the game. Once the server is full, you will not be able to join that server.
Keep in mind that the 40-player cap is only for the beta testing phase. The developers have assured players that the game’s servers will be able to handle a higher population at full release. This means the number of players in one server will be much larger on release day compared to the current beta test servers.
