Symmetry of the Weald

Symmetry of the Weald Features and Set Bonuses in ESO:

  • Name: Symmetry of the Weald
  • Type: Overland
  • Available Armor Weight: Light Armor, Jewelry, Weapons
  • Location: West Weald
  • Requires DLC: Gold Road Chapter
  • Armor Set bonuses (Level 50 – CP 160):
    • 2 items: Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
    • 3 items: Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
    • 4 items: Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
    • 5 items: Adds 200% Status Effect Chance while your Health is above 50%. Adds 10% Healing Done while your Health is 50% or less.

In ESO (The Elder Scrolls Online), the Symmetry of the Weald set offers boosts to damage dealt, along with a conditional status effect and healing bonus. First, when you are wearing 2 to 4 items from this set, each additional piece will add 129 Weapon and Spell damage to your build.

Next, wearing a full five pieces of the Symmetry of the Weald set will grant you a 200% Status Effect Chance and also an additional 10% to Healing. However, both of these bonuses are conditional on your health points being at a certain level.

Consequently, the 200% Status Effect Chance will only proc if you have above 50% of your total health. Additionally, the 10% bonus to healing done will only apply when your HP is below 50%. On paper, these two bonuses complement each other very well. The bonus to healing done will help you get back up above 50% HP, therefore restoring the 200% Status Effect Chance.

How to Use Symmetry of the Weald Set in PvE and PvP?

In PvE, the Symmetry of the Weald set will not be changing any of the meta, but could see some use for players who want to focus on boosting their chance to apply certain status effects. Additionally, it will be a relatively easy set to get in the overland of the West Weald Zone and could be easily used as a placeholder set while you are working on your build.

Moreover, this set is not likely to make any great waves in PvP. Placing status effects on other players is typically not a super high priority, given that most coordinated groups have consistent access to healers running with Purge/Cleanse. Additionally, the priority in PvP is survivability and while the 10% boost to healing is nice other, stronger sets are more effective.

How to Get to West Weald Zone ESO - Elder Scrolls Online

West Weald overland bosses, public dungeons, world events, and treasure chests can drop the Symmetry of the Weald set armor, weapons, and jewelry. Here are instructions on how to obtain all items from the ESO Symmetry of the Weald set:

  • Delve bosses – Waist and Feet
  • World bosses – Head, Chest, Legs, and Weapons
  • Public dungeon – Shoulders, Hands, and Weapons
  • Dark Anchors – Rings and Necklaces
  • World Events – Rings and Necklaces
  • Treasure Chest – Rings and Necklaces

Additionally, in zones lacking public dungeons, Shoulders, Hands, and Weapons can be obtained from alternative sources. Similarly, in zones without Dark Anchors, Rings and Necklaces will drop from comparable world events. Should these events be absent, these items may be found in treasure chests instead.

Furthermore, to gather pieces of the Symmetry of the Weald set, ownership of the Gold Road Chapter is required. This chapter releases in June 2024 and requires a separate purchase. It will not transition into DLC status, and thus won’t be accessible through an ESO+ subscription, until at least a year later.
