The Hall of Herodiana Puzzle
The secret Herodiana Puzzle Chamber is a challenging side quest with a unique signature outfit as a reward at the end, and that’s why this Hogwarts Legacy: The Hall of Herodiana Puzzle & Quest Guide was created. Let’s get into it!
- To start the quest, you need to speak with Sophronia Franklin near the Charms Classroom Floo Flame in The Astronomy Wing.

The Hall of Herodiana Quest Overview
Just after you unlock one of Force spells, Depulso, you unlock The Hall of Herodiana Quest. Use Floo Flame in The Astronomy Wing or go to the small salon area near the Charms Classroom to meet Sophronia Franklin. She asks you to retrieve Herodiana’s signature outfit from her Depulso training room. The third-year doesn’t know the spell yet, but she is a big fan of this famous witch and would like to see it.
The Hall of Herodiana entrance location
According to Sophronia Franklin, the entrance to the Hall of Herodiana is at the base of the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower in The Astronomy Wing. From now use the quest tracking or teleport to Transfiguration Courtyard Floo Flame. The entrance is on the back Hall’s wall.
Use the Depulso spell on the ornamental wall button to reveal the secret door entrance. This walkthrough will require only two spells, and no combat elements exist during this quest.

- Accio unlock during Charms Class Main Quest
- Requirement: Complete Welcome to Hogsmeade Main Quest
- Depulso, unlock during Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1 Quest
- Requirement: Complete Main Quest: Jackdaw’s Rest
The Hall of Herodiana Puzzle solutions and answers
In Hogwarts Legacy, to get Herodiana’s Signature Outfit, players need to solve the three puzzles. We can split the quest into three steps. The basic mechanic of this puzzle is to move big glowing blocks to be able to travel through the area.
How to Solve the first Puzzle in the Hall of Herodiana?
The first Puzzle in the Hall of Herodiana solution is a straightforward tutorial and introduction to the mechanic.
To push the blocks, cast Depulso on the marked side of the block, and to pull them, use the Accio spell on the opposite side. Remember not to stand in the block’s way because the puzzle will reset. However, if you want to reset the puzzle, cast the basic attack at the spinning globe.
To solve the first The Hall of Herodiana Puzzle:
- Cast Depulso on the blocks and push them to the back of the wall
- Climb up the blocks and to the upper platform to get to the next chamber
- Open the chest with the first piece of unique Herodiana signature outfit.
To get the secret chest:
- On the entrance’s left side is a “pocket” – an elevated platform in the wall with a hidden chest.
- Cast Depulso from the opposite side to push blocks towards the entrance.
- Cast Depulso again to send blocks towards the chest. Climb up to get the loot.
Now you can go to the next chamber and get your loot a unique Herodiana’s Cape.
How to Solve the second Puzzle in the Hall of Herodiana
To solve this puzzle, you need to move two blocks which can join together. Remember, you can always reset the puzzle by casting a basic attack on the spinning sphere.
The image below shows which side you need to cast the following spells: “A” – Accio or “D” – Depulso.
To get the secret chest puzzle:
- We start at the entrance (picture 1)
- Move The two blocks to the left (picture 1)
- Push a single block towards the exit (picture 1)
- Use Accio to pull two joined blocks towards you and entrance (picture 2)
- Pull two joined blocks to the right wall (picture 2)
- Again pull two joined blocks towards you and the entrance, a little closer (picture 2)
- Cast Accio on a single block to move it to the right side (picture 2)
- Push a single block to the exit wall with Depulso (picture 2)
- Move the single block to the left with Accio spell (picture 3)
- Pull a single block towards you, casting Accio spell again (picture 3)
- Move The two blocks to the left (picture 3)
Now you should be able to climb the blocks and get to the secret chest above the entrance to the chamber.
To solve the second Hall of Herodiana Puzzle:
- Move to the exit, and now we look at the entrance (picture 4)
- Cast Accio on a single block to the exit wall (picture 4)
- Cast Accio on two joined blocks to the exit wall (picture 4)
- Pull a single block towards the left wall (picture 4)
- Pull two joined blocks to the left wall (picture 4)
Climb the blocks to get to the balcony, and the next piece of Herodiana’s signature outfit is yours. Let’s move to the last puzzle.
How to Solve the third Puzzle in the Hall of Herodiana
The last puzzle will require a reset, just like before we start from the entrance. The last steps are more complicated.
- We start at the entrance (picture 1)
- Cast Accio to pull blocks to the right wall (picture 1)
- Again use Accio to get blocks closer to you and the entrance (picture 1)
- Pull blocks to the middle (picture 2)
- Cast Depulso to send the blocks to the back wall near the exit (picture 2)
- Jump on the middle stone blocks to see the whole chamber
- Push the blocks to the right wall with Depulso spell (picture 3)
- Pull it to the stone block with a spinning sphere (picture 3)
- Cast Accio spell to move it to the left (picture 3)
- Cast Depulso to get the secret chest (picture 3)
After acquiring the chest’s loot, reset the puzzle by casting a basic attack at the spinning sphere.
To solve the third Hall of Herodiana Puzzle
- Again we start at the entrance (picture 4)
- Pull blocks to the right wall by casting Accio (picture 4)
- Cast Depulso and push it to you and the stone block with the spinning sphere (picture 4)
- Jump on the middle stone blocks to see the whole chamber
- Use Accio to pull blocks to the left wall (picture 4)
- At this point, You should be able to use moving blocks to jump on the hanging two stone blocks in the middle of the chamber. We will be casting spells from there now. (picture 5)
- Use Accio to move blocks all the way to the exit. (picture 5)
- Cast Accio last time to pull blocks closer to you and the left wall. (picture 5)
- Jump on the blocks to get the last chest and piece of Herodiana’s signature outfit. (picture 5)
Now that you have all the pieces, you can leave The Hall of Herodiana, return to Sophronia Franklin, and tell her about your adventure and discovery. The Quest ends, and you get the experience and relationship progress.
