How To Complete the Mount Sen (Kuji-Kiri) in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Follow this guide to find and complete the Mount Sen Kuji-Kiri activity with Naoe in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Mount Sen Kuji-Kiri is one of the two Kuji-Kiri locations available in the Harima region. Kuji-Kiri is an optional activity that Naoe can partake in to obtain some experience and Knowledge Points. Additionally, Kuji-Kiri serves as a fun minigame where you must complete a sequence of quick-time events.

Here’s the location of the Mount Sen Kuji-Kiri and how you can complete it in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Mount Sen Kuji-Kiri Location in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The Mount Sen Kuji-Kiri location is in a very secluded spot on the northern section of the Harima region, right near its border with the Tamba region. There are no settlements nearby, making this a rather difficult location to reach. If you are in the Harima region, you can follow the path going north from Kitano Village. Use the pathfinder function to chart a path to the top of Mount Sen.

However, if you are in Tamba, the closest civilization is Kameyama City, which is quite far away. You have to travel southwest from Kameyama, past the Silver Lands, and directly south to the Maruyama Shitsugen. Lastly, the Kuji-Kiri location is right on top of Mount Sen, which overlooks the entirety of Kamakura Valley in front.

How To Complete the Mount Sen Kuji-Kiri in AC Shadows

After reaching the top of the mountain, interact with the circular mat on the ground to initiate the Mount Sen Kuji-Kiri. You have to press a series of four buttons that appear on your screen in a certain sequence. Moreover, you have to press the buttons at the correct moment, which is when the circle closes in completely on the button. Here’s the button sequence for this Kuji-Kiri:

• Top > Right > Bottom > Left

If you do not wish to partake in the quick-time event, there is a setting you can activate to skip this minigame and complete it directly. Here’s where you can find it:

• Options > Gameplay > Quick Time Events > Auto

Moreover, you do not have to worry, as turning this setting on won’t affect the story, and you also gain the achievement and trophy for Kuji-Kiri completion.

Mount Sen Kuji-Kiri Rewards

Finally, after completing the Kuji-Kiri on Mount Sen, Naoe obtains 500 XP and one Knowledge Point. The Knowledge Point is quite helpful for increasing Knowledge Level, which unlocks more skills in the skill tree.
