In Baldur’s Gate 3, the Hide Armour +2 is a medium armor you can obtain from Grat, the trader in the goblin camp. It’s a medium armor that you can equip to your chest slot in inventory, and the character needs a Medium Armour Proficiency to be able to use it or will suffer penalties.
The Hide Armour +2 gives a high AC (Armour Class) of 14 early in the game. It can carry your survivability for Act 1 until you find something better, such as Adamantine Scale Mail armour, or Armour of Agility, one of the best gear items in the game. The most significant advantage of this item is +1 to initiative, allowing you to act faster in turn-based combat, having an advantage of dealing significant damage or even sometimes excluding any of the more powerful opponents before they even get the chance to attack you.
The Armour gives a dexterity bonus and doesn’t apply any negative effects while in stealth, so it’s great if you play, for example, as a Rogue. It’ll be perfect for any class using medium armour, such as Ranger, Druid, or Cleric.

How to Get Hide Armour +2 in Baldur’s Gate 3
In Baldur’s Gate 3, you can get the Hide Armour +2 from Grat the Trader in the Goblin Camp during Act 1. Also, the item can randomly appear in other vendors’ shops or loot from defeated enemies. So keep an eye out!
Grat The Trader sells the Hide Armour +2. He runs a shop in the Goblin Camp, as shown in the picture above. To reach the Goblin Camp, head west from Emerald Grove. If you have already eliminated the goblins or were not friendly, you can also purchase this medium armour from other traders, but it will be randomly available.
You can also get it randomly from looting enemies.
