How to Get Mask of Soul Perception in Baldur’s Gate 3

BG3 - Mask of Soul Perception Location

To get the Mask of Soul Perception, access Devil’s Fee second floor by traveling North from Rivington, passing the Ballisk Gate, then west to the store. Once you enter the store, speak with the vendor Helisk, from here use the stairs to the left of the entrance to access the second floor. This is the same area where you can access the Raphael Fight via House of Hope. There will be various traps, including a Glyph Trap before opening the first door and entering the second floor. You can jump or fly across to avoid damage, entering the second room.

Next, move to the most northeastern room where you will find a Gilded Chest. These are visually smaller than other chests, and Mask of Soul Perception is located on a nightstand near a bed shown in the image above. Now, you will need to pass a DC20 Sleight of Hand check to open the chest. Typically, you want to use Astarion or a Rogue/Thief build for this check. Once completed, open the check and loot both objects and you will now have the powerful helmet, Mask of Soul Perception.

How to Use Mask of Soul Perception in Baldur’s Gate 3

BG3 Mask of Soul Perception

The best way to use Mask of Soul Perception is on damage dealer characters with lower initiative rolls. Specifically, Fighters and Paladin’s can deal high damage, but typically run 14, or 10 Dexterity. Meaning, these characters are vulnerable to stuns and damage during the initial part of combat rounds. Giving them a +2 to Initiative Rolls ensures these classes and damage dealers are likely to go sooner in the attack order.

The +2 to Attack Roll helps any damage dealer, specifically weapon-based damage dealers benefit the most. Additionally, this helmet is not light, medium, or heavy armour, so it can be used by any build or class. Specifically, the Barbarian and Monk classes can benefit from the Mask because it aligns with their Unarmoued Defense passive feature. Consider the Mask of Soul Perception as one of the best damage-added helmets in BG3 and we hope you find it useful!
