In Baldur’s Gate 3, The Steelwatcher Helmet enhances your ability to see in the dark up to 12 m. It also grains your character, a resistance to becoming blinded. The blinded is a status effect that prevents anyone standing inside of the affected area from casting spells or using ranged weapons.

The Steelwatcher Helmet is a rare-quality item with decent defensive and utility capabilities, but so late in the game, there are much better gear choices such as Helm of Balduran or Sarevok’s Horned Helmet. However, its unique design makes it a unique choice suitable for any class, companion, and character with medium armour proficiency. You can equip Steelwatcher Helmet to the headgear slot of your characters.

How to Get the Steelwatcher Helmet in Baldur’s Gate 3?

You can find the Steelwatcher Helmet in Steel Watch Foundry on the table (X: -276 Y: -135) in Act 3, Baldur’s Gate 3.

To get the Steelwatcher Helmet, head to the Steel Watch Foundry (X: -291 Y: -163). It is located on the west in Lower Baldur’s Gate City in Act 3, and it is also where you can get the most powerful legendary Bow Gontr Mael. We suggest also checking out the guide on how to get it because as soon as you enter the Steel Watch Foundry, quests related to obtaining the weapon will trigger. The second notable item worth picking up is the Hellfire Engine Crossbow, that is easy to miss.

The area around the Steel Watch Foundry (X: -291 Y: -163) is guarded by Steel watchers and other Gortash guards. Make your way inside by unlocking the door with a 20 DC Slight of Hand skill check. You will be automatically presented with the cutscene. You can sneak inside and try to collect the required items unnoticed or pick up the fight with the guards and try to save oppressed workers, which is part of the Save the Gondians quest.

Regardless of your choices, next, you must collect the Steelwatcher Helmet from the table on the north east side of the factory.
