The Recompense enchantment bonus will return 5% of your Maximum Health and 25% of your Maximum Stamina on an enemy kill. This is a great boost that will give you some passive healing, but will more strongly return your stamina. Thus, letting you continue to attack, dodge, block, or parry.
Secondly, the other enchantment passive is called Vengeful Shot. While active, any time an enemy incapacitates one of your companions, you automatically taunt them and receive a 100% Critical Hit Chance against them.

How to Use Fair Play in Avowed?
The most effective way to wield Fair Play in Avowed is by pairing it with another pistol in a dual-wielding Gun Build. At this point in the game, if you’ve been following the build, then Fair Play will likely be a replacement/upgrade for Caedroc’s Pride.

On Fair Play, the Recompense is the primary enchantment, which means that it can be upgraded or changed in Avowed. You can use the enchantment station in your camp at any time, and choose between two possible upgrades. Significantly, your choice of enchantment will be permanent. There is no system in Avowed to go back and make a change.
