To get the Crystalline Egg in Avowed you need to reach the third major region of Shatterscarp, and then make your way north to the Sulfur Mines Basecamp. The side quest here will direct you to go inside the mines. However, before that, go to the right of the big stone entrance and look up. You should see wooden platforms leading up into a small save.
Climb up and head inside, but be prepared to fight several spiders in this area. After they have been defeated, look for a small lockbox resting near a corpse. Open it up, and you’ll find the Crystalline Egg inside.
How to Use the Crystalline Egg in Avowed?
The best way to use the Crystalline Egg in Avowed is by equipping it to a Necromancer or Tank build. The summoned Crystal Eater Spiderlings are very thematic when used by a Necromancer, whereas a Tank can use them to take additional pressure off of party members. The spiderlings will stick around for at least 35 seconds. However, they are pretty low on HP and most likely will not last super long. Still, they are a great way to distract enemies when you are feeling overwhelmed.
To use the summon spell on the Crystalline Egg in Avowed, make sure to first equip the trinket to your character via the inventory/character tab. The spiders will not be summoned automatically just by wearing the item, however. You will need to open up the ability wheel and trigger the spell manually from there.
