Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the latest addition to the AC series, offers a vast overworld to explore. During the exploration, you will be subject to intense combat situations where you face numerous enemies. Unlike in the real world, where a wanted status is incurred by committing crimes like killing various people, the wanted alert in AC Shadows is triggered when a soldier rings a bell inside a castle.

During the wanted status, the area remains on high alert. Additionally, numerous powerful soldiers will take control of the area to attack you. Thus, the wanted status can offer quite a challenge. This article will tell you everything you need to know regarding the wanted status in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can remove the wanted status by the following methods:

  • Using Scouts
  • Changing Seasons
  • Switching Characters

Below are the further details on these methods:

Using Scouts

To remove your wanted status using scouts, you will need to upgrade Kakurega, your hideout, to Level 2. Once you complete the upgrade, open the map section. Areas marked with red signs indicate regions where you are currently wanted.

Select the wanted region area, then navigate to the Clear Regional Alert option in the bottom-right corner of the screen. You will also see the required scout cost displayed—removing an alert costs two scouts per area. Select the option to remove your wanted status and move around the region without restrictions.

Changing Seasons

In addition to the method mentioned above, you can wait for a seasonal change. This means that when the season shifts, your wanted status will reset automatically.

Switching Characters

The wanted status links to a specific character in an area, so the easiest way to explore without worrying about the high alert is by switching the protagonists.
