Redfall Character Remi de la Rosa
Remi de la Rosa

The dark and mysterious island of Redfall isn’t probably for “good Vampires” fans. The bloodthirsty monsters are evil and merciless enemies. Once calm and safe Redfall island in Massachusetts now suffers the consequences of a failed scientific experiment that created a legion of vampires who have taken over the town – blocking out the sun and cutting off the remaining citizens from the outside world.

Players take on the role of heroes, four playable characters, each with a unique backstory, abilities and many other customisation options. In an open world like Redfall, your hero characters must collect gear and complete quests to survive cultists and blood-suckers waiting for them everywhere. This guide presents Remi de la Rosa’s background and motivations. Also, it will help you understand her strengths and abilities to play optimally with this unique hero character.

The Redfall offers various abilities and customisation for heroes, making Remi de la Rosa’s strengths unique and specialised. With distinct backgrounds and motivations, all heroes have the same purpose. Unite in the battle against bloodthirsty vampires in the game’s open world.

Customisation in Redfall includes abilities, attributes, gear, upgrades and weapons.

  • Weapons, upgrades and gear will directly improve and make your characters stronger.
  • The Redfall abilities can be upgraded using skill points, which players can earn by completing main story missions and side missions found throughout the game’s world.
  • Additionally, players can boost their heroes with attributes to customise them further and make them more powerful. Firstly we have the health recovery that determines the time your health will can regenerate after your character takes damage. Secondly is storage size, you can increase this attribute to carry more resources such as ammunition, lockpicks and rewire kits.

Who is Remi de la Rosa in Redfall? – Background and Strengths

Remi de la Rosa is a combat engineer and robotics specialist. Her motivation to protect people around her made her join Coast Guard. During her job and many travels, he designed Bribón, a highly advanced robot designed to be a decoy, cover and attack drone all in one.

She was in the team tasked to investigate Redfall island, but on their way to investigate the Redfall incident, the ship was destroyed, and her entire crew was lost. Now, with the Bribón’s help, she uses her knowledge as a robotic expert and Coast Guard member to protect citizens and her team from vampires and cultists.

As an elite Navy rescue team member, her biggest strengths are in remote-operated search-and-rescue technology, as a result, she is the perfect character to support the team while dealing considerable damage. In solo, single-player playthrough, you can play Remi on a tanky build and easily take out entire vampire nests.

In-game, her robot has his own statistics and, most importantly, health pool, so he acts as a separate AI character and addition to the team.

Remi’s Abilities

Redfall Remi de la Rosa Background and Abilities

Each hero is distinct in Redfall, and Remi’s abilities shine in solo playthroughs, thanks to her many support abilities and aggressive playstyle. However, she is even more useful in the group providing support to the entire team. In Redfall, customisation options include abilities, attributes, gear, upgrades and weapons.

Being able to use your powers and tools in interesting combinations and then layering those with other players with different powers and tools makes for even more fun and unexpected ways to approach the world of Redfall.

You can build your hero characters into specific playstyles and create many diverse team lineups if you’re playing co-op. And because in Redfall, you can use any character regardless of your teammates’ choices, as a group, you can all play as Remi, focus on specific abilities and weapon setups, and make very specialised team build. Each teammate’s Remi and Bribón can be built in a distinct way with different upgrades, weapons and gear.

Combat Engineer Abilities

The Redfall abilities can be upgraded using skill points, which players can earn by completing main story missions and side missions found throughout the game’s world. Remi’s tools and abilities are designed to play aggressively. She is able to take down groups of enemies from close range. At the same time, her robot can help with support and keep her alive or even deal damage to enemies.

What is the best Remi de la Rosa’s Build in Redfall?

  • C4 Charge Ability – sticky C4 charge that explodes remotely, dealing AoE damage to many enemies, thus can be used in open combat or as traps for vampire patrols.
  • Mobilize Ability – Typical AoE healing ability. Remi establishes a power point, healing and reviving anyone in its area.
  • Siren Ability – This Skill belongs to Bribón. Players can order the robot to go to a specific location and create loud noises that can distract enemies or lure them to them. Bribón takes on a defensive posture, so it can survive additional damage.

Tanky Remi is probably the best at supporting and healing allies. At the same time, she can kill all groups of enemies by throwing her C4 at them. I would rank her as the best solo and a must in group playthroughs.

Remi de la Rosa is the most dominant character in Redfall. She has massive area damage, self and group healing and a robot that acts a distraction. It’s best to lean into what she does well, incredible survival using her Siren skill for distraction, C4 to do damage and debuff targets and Mobilize for insane self or group healing. Truly, everyone wants to pick her for the most powerful, most sturdy character in Redfall. Max level in Redfall is 40 and you get one skill point so choose wisely. You can also respect at level 10 via your safe house so don’t worry if you make a mistake. Since Remi’s skills are powerful early on, we will focus on a mix from each skill tree instead of maxing out one early. We will also take three passives, one important for solo or group play.

Best Weapons and Equipment for Remi

In Redfall, Remi de la Rosa, just like all characters, can use all weapons. However, the equipment they provide in battle is sometimes unique. The Redfall Gear includes Weapons, Armor, Medkits and Remnants. So far, we’ve seen sniper rifles, pistols, machine guns, shotguns, and much more weapons that can be customisable.

Remi can carry up to three weapons, so you will want to equip her with the best possible tier guns, which are black, green, blue, purple and golden – being the best. Also, guns drop on specific “levels” that presumably reflect players’ levels.

We recommend using the following weapons when playing as Remi:

  • Assault Rifle
    • The best and most universal choice. You will easily find and use a good purple or gold quality weapon in most “outside” scenarios.
  • Shotgun
    • Swap to shotgun whenever you enter a tight space, house or corridor. A big part of combat in Redfall happens in close-range scenarios, so each character needs it. It’s also crucial when enemies approach you too close.
  • Stake Launcher
    • The best weapon to deal with vampires. When Remi fights those bloodthirsty monsters, swap to Stake Launcher

This weapon loadout easily deals with all enemies and every range. Don’t forget to equip Remi with Stakes. You never know when you may need them against vampires. You can read more about the best weapons against vampires in our Guide.

Best Abilities and Skill Upgrades for Remi de la Rosa

The best builds are the balance between survivability and damage. This build is designed to play the Redfall’s story solo on any difficulty. You will have only a limited amount of skill points, so each upgrade is an important choice.

Siren (Bribon) is one of the most powerful abilities in the game. The robot does damage, distracts enemies and even can heal you. Bribon can be easily repaired after taking damage or resummoned to get back in the fight. Start your combat sequence with this ability and unload on unsuspecting targets.

C4 Charge (area damage) is massive burst area damage, ideal to use in large packs of enemies in choke points, closed buildings or anywhere with a dense group of enemies. Also, the ability debuffs enemies, making them take more damage. It stacks with Siren damage buff and constantly provides damage increase to yourself or a group.

Mobilize (survivability) is reminiscent of the Solar Warlock in Destiny 2. Place a large area circle on the ground and receive huge healing and damage reduction. The downside of this skill is the lack of mobility. Activate it during boss fights or panic-click when you’re about to die. In group fights, coordinate your final “super” skill for a boss burn where everyone can all-out DPS and not worry about healing.
